Excellent knife
As I've said, this is a superb lightweight knife. It's surprisingly easy to forget you have it in your pocket. Because of that I've been carrying it for EDC and hiking. The blade has the SLIGHTEST recurve to it which adds more bite to your cuts but also not enough to make it difficult to sharpen. It has a full flat grind with very even grind on the blade edge. Something that can easily make or break a knife. It's deployed using only a flipper tab on bronze washers. This means it'll open quick but very sturdy and not fail over time. Mine came with a dollop of grease in it as well so you do have to wear it in smooth. The 8cr13mov holds an edge well. I'd say it lasts longer than AUS-8 and can remain razor sharp after a week of daily use. I was using the knife for EDC tasks mainly but after seeing how it could be advantageous in the woods, I began to do some bushcraft tasks with it. It cuts wood well but isn't ideal for fine work. You can easily get feathersticks out of it though. Overall the blade of the knife is excellent. The handle appears to be molded plastic, although I don't know which kind. It is comfortable and offers various protrusions which actually help you grip the knife in lots of comfortable ways. This is executed smartly and efficiently since the knife is so inexpensive. Plus it is very large so the biggest hands could use this knife without complaining. The handle does lack some grip in cold weather since it's a plastic matte feel is unfinished but in warm weather or with gloves it's good.I definitely like the knife a lot and if I lost it then I'd want another. Having a huge knife like this easily carry-able is humorously useful. Well done Ruike.

There is a reason for so many 5 stars review
This is one of the few knives that has an almost universal agreement for a five star rating. And trust me, it is well justified and worth even more than 5 stars. I had looked at this knife for a couple months but was not sure about “down grading” from 14c28n to 8cr13mov steel, plus the FRN type handle - after all, every knife on the market is supposed to have g10 or micarta grips, right? Then I read about how Ruike uses a cyro treatment for each blade regardless of the steel used. So I ordered the knife and when it arrived I thought it was too big, too lightweight, and didn’t know if the grips felt cheap but really comfortable thanks to the chamfering used. Then I carried the knife. It disappeared in my pocket until I was ready to use it. So much for being too big. When you open the knife using the flipper, it has nice solid lockup - so much for being too lightweight. And then using the knife to cut through everything was such a breeze. Never once has the knife slipped out of my hands when wet - so much for thinking the grips were cheap. Have I mention that I have used this knife for almost a month and still have not had to strop or sharpen it yet? So much for being worried about the quality of the steel. This Ruike knife is just perfect. This is such a good knife I am buying a second one. I added a photo of it next to a large honey badger knife for comparable sake.**Update after a couple months of use -- this is hands down my favorite knife. I've never had an 8cr13mov steel knife work so great and stay sharp as long as this one. It performs as well as any of my D2 steel knives. In fact, it has replaced all of my knives for my EDC and go-to knife. I love it and can't find a single negative thing to say about. The only recommendations/suggestions I would like to make to Ruike it to please make some different colored grips if possible. This knife would look awesome with orange handles and excel as a first responder tool. Also, if a slightly smaller version could be made with a 2.9 inch blade. An already great knife for EDC, a slightly smaller version might open up the product to a market where people aren't allowed to have 3 inch plus blades, which is a shame that they are missing out on the knife on the market. Did I mention that I love this knife? I shake my head every time I think about how skeptical I was about this knife because of the steel. That cyro treatment and the quality construction of this knife has made me a believer that Ruike is putting one of the best products ever out there, and they are doing it at a price that is very reasonable.

Good Knife, Especially for the Price
Good knife for the price. The blade is nicely shaped with a reasonably thick spine, and comes quite sharp out of the box. While I would never call the action on this knife crisp, the flipper action does swing the big blade around adequately. The lock up is solid. The handle has a plastic-y (I think PA66 is a type of nylon) quality and feel to it. That being said, it does feel sturdy with the recessed liners, and it seems solidly screwed together. The knife tip gets nicely buried in the handle when closed (this has been an issue with another model of Ruike) so I don't see cutting myself while reaching for it in a pocket. The ergonomics are adequate.I think it's a good, solid knife for this price point. It is large and fills your hand nicely, which is a welcome switch from the more slender knives that are currently in vogue.

A great slicer, and easy to hone.
It is a nice, larger pocket knife. The ergonomics are well done, however the hard plastic handle could use more texture for grip.RUIKE usually offers 14c28n blade steel, but this one is not.The blade steel on this one is good for lighter-duty cutting and slicing. Heavier use will dull the 8cr13mov, but it is easy to hone or strop back to a fine edge quickly. This is a great knife for those learning how to sharpen, because the blade thickness behind the edge is thinner and has a more forgiving blade steel.A good one for the tackle box, camp cooking, kitchen, or using in the garden.

Great for the price.
It’s a sharp knife, opens and closes without any sticking. Always smooth which is surprising for the cost. No play in the blade, the handle size is good for you hand. And the clip is much better than previous versions. It seems to be actual steel instead of whatever they used before. The only bad thing I can say is that the handle it’s self feels almost slick/slippery. It doesn’t always feel like your hand has a solid grip everytime. Otherwise great knife.
