First Chain Breaker
I was a bit apprehensive about the price....figured the quality wouldn't be up to par. I can't compare to any other chain breaker/riveting tool set, but its well made for sure. You DEFINITELY need to grind down the rivet head before attempting to break the chain. I almost bent the 3/8 pin trying it without grinding ( It did actually deform/bend the tip a bit, but I was able to grind it out with a rotary tool, and it still worked fine). As long as you take your time, you should have no problem breaking a 520 chain. No instructions in the box, but this is where youtube is your friend. There are plenty of videos out there. If you have a moderate amount of mechanical ability, a bit of patience, and don't mind doing a little bit of research online, you shouldn't have any issues. If used properly, should last you a few chain swaps. But for $20, you really cant go wrong!

Worked as well as the $100 chain tools
I purchased this, as it was the cheapest chain rivet/breaker kit I could find. Most tools, such as from Driven or Motion Pro were $50-100 more, and looked to be the same. This ForgeMax kit did everything I needed it to, including:1) Break old master link. I didn't even grind out the old rivets, but went slow and steady with the breaking.2) Cut new chain. I dremeled the new rivets out on the new chain, and the tool worked fine.3) Press new master link. I pressed and riveted the new master link. For the price, you can't beat this. Maybe the finish isn't as good as the other more expensive tools, but it worked. The only downside is that there are no instructions with this kit. You'll need Youtube for instructions, but there are tons of guides out there.

Great price won't last a lifetime though
Great buy if you want to save money over taking bike to a shop. I don't see this tool lasting more than a few times. I seen a lot of wear and metal fatigue after swapping one 525 chain on my sportbike. Tool broke chain fairly well. But the rivet tool took a beating replacing such a heavy chain. I should get a few more uses out of it though. Great price just wish the metal was hardened more for my taste.

Good tool
I have used this breaker/press for a little bit, and on many different bicycles and motor cycles and atv's. No problems yet, take your time and it shouldn't fail.

Eventually the rod that pushes the pins out will bend but for the money this was a great buy.
This works well for the home mechanic,it has all of the accessories for most chains.Eventually the rod that pushes the pins out will bend but for the money this was a great buy.

Cheap Weak Tool
Seller was great..item was as described and on time. The product is junk. I didn't even use it for cutting the old chain as it was a clip type master link. All I needed this for was to press on a master link plate and flare the rivets out on the new master link. It failed miserably. The tools metal is so soft it was deformed BY the rivet instead of deforming the rivet. It barely got the rivets into usable specs, and I will still need to take bike in to have rivets fully flared. The rivet head is bent and shot as is the adjustment bolt. Tool is no longer good and it didn't even complete one press and rivet. Get what ya pay for. DONT BUY...buy a better name brand tool

Don't be affraid of the price
This is a nice quality tool with all of the pieces needed to do most any chain job, seems to be made well, parts are marked clearly in the box and is a nice, heavy, well made tool. I'd seen many others for well over $70 to $100 bucks, unless you do this work daily for a living I wouldn't wast your money on an expensive one.

A MUST HAVE TOOL
i am thoroughly THRILLED with this product. i bought it because i was sick of using a grinder and punch to break chains. working on motor cycles and four-wheelers everyday it gets old doing it the old fashioned way pretty quick. This chain breaker works like a charm everytime and if anything its OVERBUILT meaning that it will NEVER break. trust me, its a sturdy little sucker.
