Great Iron!
I researched irons extensively before I bought the T-Fal Express Steam +. It’s super easy to fill, unlike some irons with a small water inlet, you can do it right from the sink and the manufacturer recommends NOT using distilled water as I’m used to, but states the iron operates better with tap water. It has a calc cleaning process that eliminates scale if used monthly according to the manual. The iron heats very quickly, makes loads of steam and if used properly, doesn’t leak or spit water. Dress shirts appear starched, even when you don’t use starch because the iron presses that well. The turbo steam button puts out very strong bursts of steam if needed. The sole plate really is made to glide smoothly and easily over the fabric and it does. The only thing I wish was different was the instructions on the steam function. There is a toggle switch that appears to have three settings: steam , no steam, and a third option which appears to be a setting for “extra steam” according to the manual. The problem is you cannot switch the toggle to that extra steam setting, you can slide the toggle over and then it slides back if you release. I thought I had a malfunctioning unit because of this. The problem is if you want to choose that option, you have to hold your thumb on the toggle switch while ironing. Not a big issue but it would have been better to just be able to leave the toggle on that setting. All in all, that is a minor quibble as this iron is amazing and a great bang for your buck at a very reasonable priced compared to the expensive irons on the market. Can’t go wrong.

I purchased this iron april 2024 was working fine to I dropped it. It was not the first time either but this time when it fell the bottom split open around the plug area and wires are exposed junk now. I purchased another one dec2 tryed brand new iron leaking and turned on but no heat. NEXT IRON. I guess it's hit or miss with these irons.

Great steam iron with bad user instructions but check T Fal website!
I have a really old T-Fal steam iron that still works, but it got dropped and the water tank cracked. The tank got repaired with super glue, but I felt it was time for a new iron and bought the T-Fal Ultraglide Plus. It is a heavy iron, but it does what it promises to do. I also had a bit of condensation and water drops in the tank, but the box flap said that was because they test the iron at the factory. This iron was not built to be completely empty of water that was put into it, so this is just like my other T-Fal. While I like the color and the features of this iron, I don't like the instruction manual nor the absence of a water cup. I still have my cup from my last iron,so I am set. But I know that doesn't help first time users. The instruction or user manual to me is worthless. I have had a picture only user manual for my other T-Fal iron, but that one was really easy to understand and read. This one with the new iron is hard to see what is what and the pictures do not make sense. But what I found is if you go to the T-Fal website (T-FalUSA.com, and look under this iron model, you will find all the safety and how to use instructions. They have a detailed FAQ lists, and these are simple to understand!)

DO NOT BUY!!!!
I suspect the item was refurbished. It looked used and had an unpleasant odor. Worst, the iron never worked! I tried turning it on using three different outlets, but it never even got warm! I am so dissappointed and frustrated because, by the time I discovered the iron was useless, the return window had closed. I am unsure who is at fault, the manufacturer or the seller, but I regret wasting my hard earned money on a useless lump of metal!!!I decided to call the manufacturer for a refund. After a few minutes of troubleshooting, the iron ultimately worked. I cannot recommend this product. I have used irons for nearly 50 years. One should not require troubleshooting from the manufacturer to operate an iron. It simply is not worth the trouble.

This one should be yours
You are looking for an iron. Well this one works very well!!FIRST: There is no perfect iron for everyone. I use it 2-3 times aweek to press heavy cotton shirts. To start It has a large water resovouir. It is a high wattage unit that heats up fast. It has a narrow pointednose to get into small spaces. So what are the negatives you ask? There is only two: 1. It is heavier than must others. 2. The marker toset bthe heat is hard to see in a tight space. If you can live with those two, this is your iron.Speaking of no perfect iron I am looking for the perfect toaster; onethe toasts evenly on Both sides at one time. Enjoy the iron.

It's Just OK
I purchased the T-fal Economaster steam iron after having the $45, 1800w model temperature dial fall out after 3 months of light use. Customer service is awful. This version is a small, lightweight iron. At 1400w, it produces a decent amount of steam and does the job. However, the 6 ft cord is much too short unless you are right next to the outlet. Using an extension cord only creates more cord issues. My iron started shooting calcium flakes right out of the box. Doesn't hurt the clothes, just creates a mess. I am hoping this corrects itself after more use.
