This is a good shampoo. It cleans my hair pretty good and I don’t have to worry about getting clumpy or too much buildup. It’s also thick enough that I do feel like it froths properly and I feel like my head is actually clean.

good smell

I have been using Giovanni Ultra Sleek shampoo for years. It is safe for processed hair and it helps with frizziness. It detangles and leaves my hair smooth and silky. I’m a senior citizen with some grey, which is more difficult to manage, yet my hairstylist comments on what great condition my hair is in.

This shampoo has a very pleasant scent, but it is not overpowering. My mother likes it and she is very sensitive to 'smelly' beauty products. I have long, fine hair and this shampoo creates a great lather, leaving my hair feeling squeaky clean (but not dried out) after each use. This shampoo has no problem getting out several days of dry shampoo & beauty product without shampooing multiple times. My only complaint is that the shampoo is so thick. It feels like I am wasting some shampoo with each use because it is so thick, but this could be easily remedied by adding some water to the bottle. Not a dealbreaker by any means. I LOVE that this is free from harmful ingredients like sulfates and parabens :)

Quality brand

I used to use Axe 2 in 1. Every teenage girl hated me for it. I asked my dad how he met my mom. He gave me his bottle of Giovanni 2 Chic. Now I get calls every night from high school classmates about how they were sorry and want to make it up, just so they can rub their nose in my scalp.

Believe me, I tried many, many shampoos looking for the holy grail, and this is it! I have fine hair that can get oily at the roots, but is extremely dry and brittle in the middle to ends. This shampoo fits the bill. I almost don't need conditioner as the shampoo lathers well, smells great, and conditions as it washes. It doesn't leave it tangled. The only thing I could find that did not leave a film on my hair. By the way, I've tried ALL of the Giovanni 2 chic shampoos and this one wins! The great thing is that they do not use silicones, don't have tons of synthetic fragrance or toxic ingredients. Please do not discontinue!! By the way, I did not like the conditioner of this flavor. The 2Chic Ultra Luxurious Conditioner worked the best with this.

The smell is not the best. Reminds me of coconut oil and mayonnaise had a party in a bottle. It does make your hair very soft; however, the conditioner you have to leave on your hair for a little while to get the effect. It did not do diddly for my frizz. I love Giovanny 2chic Hair products, but this shampoo did not live up to the hype. I would say it is just "okay."
