Digital Battery Operated Timer for The Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener (BS-D)

Once I wrapped my mind around how this device is programmed it worked great! Don't waste your time with the light sensor add on, get this timer. The cord that terminates into the door controller was just long enough to make the timer at my eye level. This makes it easier to access and reprogram the timer settings. The cord could be another foot long though. Can be set at 15 min intervals. Right now I got it set for closing at 930p and opening at 745a. This helped in keeping my rooster in the coup longer in the morning to silence his early morning crows until the neighbors wake up! Very Happy!

Bought this and have not been able to get it programmed to work the door. I have tried several times following the instructions. It really needs a LOT better instructions. Would have returned but took to long. Disappointed in it for costing almost $80.

I will adjust my stars when I figure out how to use this thing. I don't know why electric timers have to be so complicated. I've written to the company to give us step by step instructions in a simplified form.So I upgraded my stars from 2 to 4 (5 stars for customer service). Initially I gave a 2 rating because I found this analog unit very difficult to program. I finally got the thing programmed and running. Jason, from the company has reached out to me several times and has been working with me to resolve my issue. I have received just fabulous customer care. They have learned that better step by step programming instructions are needed and that really is the only issue I have with this unit. What you need to know is that you are programming this unit for "the total time the door remains closed" and NOT when it closes and what time it opens. When programming, you need to make sure you have solid bars during the time you want the door closed, if not it will open and shut again. I will leave the rest of the upgraded instructions to Jason.

Love this timer. It a little time trying to figure out to set it, but it works great.
