Great for stubborn fleas in South Carolina
I live in South Carolina and the fleas here are immune to just about anything flea related on the market. I needed a fast treatment for one of my cats that refuses to allow me to use a flea comb on her. I noticed a small infestation one day and saw where she had it the worst. I tried a flea collar but it did not work and she was constantly scratching and licking herself so I had to find immediate relief. I turned to this brand because when my husband and I first got together, we got 2 cats. As kittens, they went for their shots and they gave us this to use to help with fleas (they were stray cats and did have some on them at the time). We gave it to them and noticed the fleas were literally falling off. Unfortunately, we saw adverse side effects on one of the cats. He became lethargic and just not his self. We ended up calling the phone number that was in the leaflet to report what was going on (we literally thought the stuff was poisoning our cat) but they said they would make note of the issue to forewarn other people. We didn't know that at the time, this stuff was brand new on the market, so I guess not a lot of information was known other than it did what it was supposed to do. I was worried that the issue would happen again with our other cat but I followed the instructions just as it said, to only put 3-4 drops near the base of the skull and not neck. It worked! It helped the problem and with a little bit of tweaking to remove the fleas, there were no more issues. It's a good way to get rid of fleas for the price! It's not too expensive and it actually works.

Great for multi cat homes! 🐾
I fell into an unofficial cat rescue of sorts over the past 9 years. As you can imagine, care when you have 14 cats can get pricey between vet visits, feeding, and health care. You can also imagine fleas can become a problem quickly. After the reviews you all left, I decided to try this brand and formula. It works great and my house, which was infested with fleas, became flea free within a month between cat treatments and carpet treatments. Is it pricey? Well, for me, it definitely is. But if you only have one or two cats, $78 for a 3-6 mo supply seems very reasonable to me.If you're on the fence, I recommend this product. It is a little oily and it does smell. But the cats don't seem to mind it and I know they enjoy the relief that comes from it!

Still works on Florida fleas
If you live in Florida, you either know or will soon know that our fleas have evolved to no longer be affected by most OTC flea treatments. This is the only one I know of that is still effective, and comes from a manufacturer that I am comfortable with. (Elanco also makes Credilio, Onsior, and lots of other prescription medications that cat owners are likely to recognize.)That said, it's not perfect. It takes a while to dry and can stay sticky for a couple of days, so you have to be careful not to pet your cat on the application spot. I'm not sure if I'd use this brand if I had young children who would be likely to touch it, but I also don't know that other options would be any better. It does have a stink to it, so if you have multiple cats, I think the smell is enough to deter them licking it off of each other. As far as I know, it is not effective against ticks, so a more comprehensive flea treatment from the vet is a step up if that's in your budget. Still, it works, and it's less expensive than prescription brands.

Works great but unpleasant smell
The media could not be loaded. Great product! Cheristin got rid of the fleas from my two cats! I have tried the other competing name brand companies and none of them seem to get rid of my flea problem. I believe the fleas in my area (I live in California) became resistant to the formulas of the competing companies. Cheristin is very easy to use. All you have to do is twist the cap to open and it’s ready to use. It only needs to be applied once a month and works on both kittens and cats. The only reason I give this product 4 stars is that this product does have a VERY strong and unpleasant smell. It smells moldy and the smell will last for days. The product also leaves a greasy residue that also lingers for a few days. Other than the smell and residue I will say this is a very effective product.

This is the only safe OTC flea product for cats I’ve usedd
I have been a vet tech for 12 years and this is the only over the counter flea product for cats I’ve ever known to work. I live in Florida, so fleas are strong here, so my advice is to always go to a vet to buy prescription flea treatment, however, when you have a multi cat household (and they’re indoors anyways) and find yourself with a flea problem, this is a very affordable and SAFE working treatment option for you. My cats have virtually no side effects from it, which can be a problem with others (not to say your cat cannot have a reaction, because they can). Buy this over Hartz or any other OTC flea treatment you’re thinking about if you have a flea problem. If not, please buy from a vet! You’ll save your cat spending the extra money, I promise.

Works great!!!
We live in Florida, and were having an awful time with fleas all winter and spring. Cheristin killed the fleas on my cats almost immediately, and within two weeks they were totally flea-free. Six months later...still no fleas! Wish they made a variety for dogs, too!

they actually work
I don't have to dose my cats often, thankfully. But when I use the more mainstream brand it no longer kills the fleas. My vet recommended this brand, and it works consistently ... might be slightly more expensive, but totally worth it.

Excellent product, fair price....
Oh what a lifesaver! This stuff actually works and works well. I have an outdoor cat that I cannot put a collar on because she roams and loses it. This has been the perfect solution. I've tried every thing you can imagine from the local Walmart and none of it even comes close to the effectiveness of this product. My cat scratched for a couple of hours after application but once that was over, she was fine. We are 4 weeks in right now and the product is still working! Well worth the money!!
