This product appears to be as described. It has a terry texture with a waterproof backing. I also purchased mattress encasement to go with this product. As described, they seem to definitely allow airflow through, and they do not cause you to feel warm due to the waterproof nature. Neither are they noisy or "crinkly" when you move in the bed.However, I have not tested the waterproof claims. I really hope they are waterproof exactly as described, because that is the primary reason for purchasing this product. My bed has been "flooded" multiple times (to varying degrees) due to leaks from the apartment above. I purchased this mattress encasement so that I would have waterproof coverage on all sides. I should do a "test", but haven't had the time.The pillows do seem to be have some air when you first lie on them, which I think is caused by the pillows being "fluffed" after each use. However, with even the slightest pressure, the air easily passes through the fabric. I hope that does not indicate how easily water will pass through in the opposite direction.

i also have the fitted mattress pad just like the pillow cases and i love the fitted mattress pad...they wash good,very soft,can't tell they are on either the mattress or the pillow.

These pillow covers are exactly what I was looking for, with an added bonus: they have given my too-soft down pillows some added support. Those pillows now feel as though 50% more down has been added, and so I am sleeping more comfortably on them. Also, the covers are the perfect size for queen pillows. Very happy with this purchase.

Great product! Our household has dust mite allergies and this did the trick. This pillocase is very very soft, not "crinkly" or loud like others. It's very soft and cozy. Best of all it has eliminated the allergies we were suffering with dust mites. It is a fantastic product and highly recommend.

These are great quality-wise and wash nicely, but are too big for reg. King pillows, not a tight fit, extra fabric.

Great product. Some waterproof products I've bought before felt like plastic. This has the terry cloth lining, which helps it feel more comfortable. We had bought this and another brand that was also highly rated to compare. We ended up buying two more of these.

After years of cheap pillows i went and bought my entire family of 5 new expensive pillows. After all a decent pillow means a good night sleep, after buying this particular brand in Mattress protectors I decided to go with a product I trust and know. These protectors take no comfort away from the expensive pillows and they are actually great for perspiration - which my husband and child suffer from. Being a family of allergies I know that all I have to do is whip off the covers and wash (which I did first) and they wash and dry brilliantly.
