Twerk!!
Now that I have your attention … Hisses & Honey is the best in the series. I enjoyed the other two books, but I really loved this one. This book is as fast-paced as the other two. The challenges Alena faces in this book, make the challenges from the other books look like a simple sugar cookie recipe. Hercules, a Hydra, and the pantheon … easy peasy, right? Alena really comes into her own and sheds all the self-doubt she's carried most of her life. My favorite thing about this series is the message of believing in yourself. You are a strong woman and don't let others determine your self-worth and don't let them dictate what you can and can't do. I highly recommend this series. It's a fun read with an interesting twist on the supernatural and Greek mythology.

What's a girl to do?
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review and I also purchased the book.Alena just can't get a break... divorce, then boyfriend breaks up with her and someone new is going to try to kill her. What's a girl to do? Find the leader of the Gods, persuade him to do what you want and get your friends to help you, and try to convince the queen of the Gods that she doesn't really to kill you.I really enjoyed reading the final installment of this series.

Plenty of twists, turns and surprises as we get to the interesting conclusion!
Just today I finished up the third book in the trilogy, and in this one, as usual, she does a bit of a recap at the beginning so you're not lost if this is the first book you pick up, but in this one a lot more of the mysteries are revealed and questions you may have had along the way are answered. Who is responsible for what's gone down since the beginning of the book, and why, which may turn out slightly amusing. Again loyalties are at play throughout, ans several more of the known gods come into play as well as a couple new monsters again, and there are definitely some nail biting and page turning conflicts in this final revealing installment of the trilogy. I have found that I really like her writing style, and I will probably consider picking up another of her trilogies as I go forward. I would have to say that Amazon's practice of giving a free book every month to Prime members has definitely opened my eyes to a plethora of new authors, and I have always liked my choices well enough to want to finish out the trilogies - this was certainly one of them!

The Exciting Finale to The Venom Trilogy
Alena started as a humble baker and over the first 2 books came into her own as the powerful Drakaina and guardian of the people. Here she faces her toughest opponents and hardest life lessons. Hercules has been sent by Hera to kill Alena along with the deadly hydra. The vampire council is comming to town, the virus is at pandemic levels and the gods are picking sides for an epic battle. Alena is at the center of it all. With Remo trying to protect her by leaving again Alena is alone when Remo's deranged brother attacks. Her had won bakery survived the vampires but when the hydra attacks she losses more than the building. Alena will travel to the ends of the earth and the depths of hell to save those she loves. This third book of the Venom series is very fast pace. I was on the edge of my seat and on the verge of crying through most of the book. This wraps Alena and the North American wall story. I can't wait to see what Merlin and Flora are up to.

Suspense Yes Sex No
This book had a lot of action and suspense from start to finish. I loved the characters and the story. However I was disappointed that there was no sex scenes between Remo and Alena. They were leading to it and it was implied that they were going to end up together. I was just hoping for at least one scene in the 3 book series. I am just used to reading other authors I guess. Overall though I did enjoy this series. It brought out a lot of emotions in my. This book especially had me crying many times. I will read more Shannon Mayer.

No more double hockey sticks?
Alena grows up...a little...in this one. The relationship whiplash is rather much, however. The plot itself was more focused without the whole divorce/save the bakery sidelining. The beginning of the book is so ridiculous I was tempted to drop it in disgust, but I'd already made it through the other two, so I soldiered on. And it did pick up soon enough, though like the other two books, it suffers from an excess of barely-there characters that fragment the reader's attention.Overall, a fitting end to the trilogy.

That's the stuff!!
Now in this last book, I'm happy to find that Alena grows a pair. The extremely special surprise is that: I now believe it was Alex b/c Alena finds a beat up leather jacket w/ the initials RA written on the tag. I liked Alena and Remo together. Glad that Alena was the 1 to kill Santos and not Remo. Laughed that Hades while reason for going along w/ this was b/c he wanted a divorce and was mad cuz no one in the pantheon could get 1 b/c Zeus and Hera didn't get 1. Which didn't make sense but ok.This last installment was so much better, by far, than the first book in the trilogy, that.... I don't even know. This book read like it was by my girl Shannon Mayer. You keep writing and I'll keep reading.

A fitting conclusion to this trilogy.
This is the third and so far as I can determine final novel of a trilogy. I bought the first as an Amazon Recommends suggestion and the second and third volumes because I greatly enjoyed that first one.Elana finally learns about her family secret history first hinted at in novel one of the series in this book. The end is fitting, but not quiet what I was expecting. I like it when an author surprises me a little without creating a twist out of character for the protagonist and IMO this author got it on the nose.

Loved this, over too soon
5star because the story was a new twist on the supernatural, with believable characters, believable stories, hero's and villains, strong action, fast paced, cheer and shout moments. Sorry this is over but maybe this leads to another short series..... highly recommended to you

Hisses and honey
Really good ending to the trilogy. Was a bit disappointed that we never got to see any heat between Remo and Alena. I liked all the Greek mythology and how it was entwined with the human world. Unfortunately, not much of an epilogue.

Final.instalment.
This was an easy book to read. The ending was hea but the characters had growth. Would have been nice to see her on her own finding her feet at the end not paired up again.

Great conclusion
I enjoyed this story as it brought everything together and turns villains into heroes.Hope that there is spin-off of this series as think some of minor characters have more to offer.Great work Shannon look forward to reading more of these types of books.
