Good communication and it works
It installed properly and worked for a few weeks but then the light quit again. It turns out that I must not have plugged the connector in all the way because after investigating, everything works again. The company was willing to replace the ballast under warranty if needed and communicated with me very quickly. Fortunately, that is not needed at this time. Please note that almost two year olds are marginal (at best) garage help.

Installed 11 months ago and still working like a champ
Over 11 months ago one headlight on my 2008 Toyota Prius had been flickering then blinking off, or staying lit for some period of time (15 to maybe 30 minutes) then turning off. An internet search indicated the ballast may be at fault so I replaced it with this one I'm reviewing and the ballast has been working fine ever since. The reason I'm writing this review now (after 11 months) is because the headlight started behaving the same way again so I contacted the ballast seller, GenXenon, thinking the replacement ballast was faulty. Their customer service responded very quickly stating they'd be happy to replace the ballast but that it's very rare for a ballast to fail and they politely suggested I swap the light bulbs to see if the problem happened with the other bulb (which was a good bulb). It did not happen and therefore the ballast was fine and the HID bulb was bad. I decided to buy two new HID lights since the ones in the car were the originals and therefore over 10 years old. I bought two "Philips D4R Standard Authentic Xenon HID bulbs" on Amazon and installed them. Headlights are working just fine. GenXenon customer service was VERY prompt and VERY polite and VERY ready to immediately ship a new ballast even If I had refused to swap the bulbs, which I'm glad I didn't! Their suggestion saved me the extra work of installing a new ballast to find out the problem was actually the HID light bulb.

Works for 08' LS460
Don't be intimidated by the process to replace you Ballast. Lexus LS460 Remove all plastic covered on engine. Remove the 10mm center bolt on grille. Carefully remove grille. Remove 2 plastic screws under fender on wheel side you are replacing. Easier if you turn the wheel towards motor. Once you remove plastic screws look up where fender and bumper meet, you will find a 10 mm bolt.. remove. You should be able to carefully pry back bumper cover on light side you are replacing. You may have to remove plastic tabs next to grille and under skid plate. At this point you need to remove three 10mm bolts that hold light onto fender. One on front and other 2 on side. Last step is to look up into wheel well behind headlight and you will see a plastic tab (white). Break thar clip off, its a one time use. Remive wire connectors and pull light out. You may need to lift up fender slightly to remove. Repalce ballast.. for the 460 you will need to remove the light connector. Easy and instructions are included. Easy swap.. works great.

Updated: Caused warning lights after install
The HID ballast looks likes the Toyota OEM part. Construction is solid. It fixed my HID headlight issue. However, after installing it on my 2009 Toyota Prius Touring it caused multiple warning lights to turn on. After removing it, two of the three lights have turned off. Returning this tomorrow and I'm going to drop the $250 for the OEM ballast at my local dealership. Update: The dash warning lights turning on immediately after installing the ballast was just a coincidence. The ballast ultimately fixed my headlight issue.

Excellent replacement cost versus OEM
These ballasts work perfectly. Fit perfectly and are a great price option from oem. I replaced both of my headlight ballasts with these and they worked great! Just make sure your headlights are not getting water in them

First timer DIY. Bright and shine. Great price!
I have replaced the ballast myself. First timer I was, but it was done successfully. Wallah.!!! Light up bright and clear!!! It sure was one of those days that I felt so proud of myself!!! Idk how many HID light bulbs I had bought and complained or thought it was defective. Your product worked great! It's just that I do not have the vehicle anymore but definitely a promising quality product!!!☆☆☆☆☆.

Only lasted 10 months
I received this ballast quickly with no issues. My mechanic installed it and my headlight worked fine for several months. At the 10-11 month time frame, I noticed my same headlight was not working again. I was sure it was my bulb that went out this time. To be sure, I swapped bulbs from one side to the other. To my surprise, both bulbs were fine. The new ballast was dead. There was no water, or moisture in my light assembly. Luckily, the seller sent out a new ballast at no charge, which I received today. Hopefully, this one will last longer. Unfortunately, I have to pay my mechanic all over again for his labor. Not good. Would have been cheaper to buy the original Toyota part and pay a single labor charge.

Failed after 3 Months, would not recommend to buy this product. Very difficult to return or claim as is after 30 days.

Pic is of the original ballast that had gone bad on the right side of my 2011 Lexus RX 350. I live in Canada. Ordered it on Amazon.ca. Paid $67.99 (CAD) + $8.84 (CAD) Import Fees. No taxes. OEM product costs almost 6 times more with taxes included. This after-market product arrived in 2 days with Prime delivery, as promised. Had it replaced by my mechanic the next day. It fitted well as advertised and worked great. I watched the whole installation process and there’s no way, I could have handled it myself. Better left to the professionals. The plastic shield under the roof had to be taken off and the same with the front bumper on the right, which had to be dropped to the ground to access the headlight / ballast. Although it looked cumbersome, my mechanic made it look so simple. Hope this product lasts. If it malfunctions, I will leave an update. In the meantime, I highly recommend.

Exactly what we needed for a Toyota Venza AWD 2011. Saved about $700+++ by installing it ourselves, compared to what the Toyota dealer wanted to do it. Works as it should.
