On March 20th 1980, Mt Saint Helens became the mountain we know today. Previously 1400 feet taller and relatively symmetrical, it was known as the "Mount Fuji of America". Our large beeswax candle (6.5" diameter) captures the unique topography of the crater and the rim's breach in the north wall. The new lava dome beginning to form is even visible near the candle's wick. Get out your topo maps and pour over the detail to your heart's content.... then burn the rest of it down!
