It is a recommended companion to Riiggio and Bass's Transformational Leadership. It is a must read for those who now understand the value of transformational leadership and now have the burning question, How do the best leaders develop ? Are they born that way ? How does the development work ? Avolio answers those questions with research to support his conclusion. Very important work.

Only a handful of good information per chapter. Way too much filler in this box. He could have cut this book in half and saved the reader a lot of time.
