Accurate
I use this to measure the amount of chemical used for treating subterranean termites. after a few test by measuring 5 gallons in a bucket the meter gave the perfect measurement every time.

It seemed like a good idea at the time
A lot of horror stories begin with “Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.” This really did seem like a good idea. We have an Endless Pool system that uses a propeller impulsion system to generate continuous water movement. It is an older system and there is no flow monitor so we do not really know how fast we are swimming and setting consistent speeds is difficult. EP used to sell a monitor that provided a rough estimate, but it no longer seems available and was not regarded as too reliable. I thought putting this in line with the hydraulic line would provide at least a repeatable flow reading. After finding the proper adapters (1” NPT to ½” NPT to ½” flange), I hooked up the meter and gave it a go. The hydraulic fluid (vegetable oil) is more viscous than water, so I entered the equivalent cSt and started the pump. The meter appeared to be reading correctly, so I increased the speed. The reading increased and so I thought I would max it out. It ran a few seconds and then I heard something pop and the oil started pouring out all over. I spent the next half hour removing the meter and cleaning up the mess. There was oil inside the housing and I thought the LCD was cracked but it was not. It did still turn on, so it appears to still be functional. I opened the meter and it was not a pretty sight, but I did my best to clean it out. It turns out the EP hydraulic system requires about 3000 PSI capacity. Putting a 50 PSI rated meter in is not a good idea. After I get it better cleaned up, I hope to use it with a garden hose to monitor water usage. The controls are OK although they are not intuitive and require the user’s manual to enter correct key sequences. It is easy to set the parameters and units.

Lasted 2 planting seasons or 10 days
While it worked it performed properly but only lasted two corn planting seasons on our planter counting gallons of 28% nitrogen. Our season is only 5 days each so that is pretty short life span.

Easy to calibrate, measures any liquid!
This is very similar to the Fill-Rite TT10ANC except the chassis is plastic, not metal. Beyond that, it is very accurate, easy to clean, easy to change the batteries, that are stored in a very well sealed device. It is easy to calibrate it for different fluids and easy to track/reset the counting as needed. To measure liquids accurately in a garage/shop, this is the perfect tool.

Simple, easy
This is a really nice little flow meter that makes measuring fluid flow for applications like monitoring and mixing very easy. It seems to be accurate though I don't have a standard to compare it against. Installation and use was a breeze. The only reason it's not five-star is the plastic enclosure. For shaded/indoor applications I'm not worried, but a few years of sun exposure might really do a number on it. Then again, for the price, that's more than acceptable life. If it suits your application, there should be no reservations in buying it.

Accurate, versatile, rugged and simple to install! Preset and custom calibrations.
This meter is accurate and versatile and is designed for permanent installation. There are two primary parts to it - the flow section and the electronics. Liquid has an indicated direction, and the electronic module can be removed and rotated to accommodate the mounting orientation. Threads can be sealed with pipe compound or tape, but you can't use too much on the "in"/upstream side because it can inhibit the flow meter. It's basically usable for any liquid except potable water that has a viscosity between .04 cSt and 79 cSt. I'm using it to measure water when mixing fertilizer and water, as well as the volume of water we use in our irrigation system and pond. Since it has a running total and batch total, it's simple. Excellent, rugged meter.
