Parrot Training Perch Kit

 Great perches for out and about, base could be a little bigger and costly but still happy I got them.

My bird and I both love her new perches. For one, I didn't read the description closely and thought I was over-paying for a single perch (but I really liked it) so I was very pleased when TWO arrived and saw it wasn't a shipping mistake when I double checked this page.I purchased the standard inverted L perch in size small and it is perfect for my Green Cheeked Conure who weighs 56 grams. I think the perch texture (branded "NU Perch") must be comfortable because an old injury to her left foot can cause her discomfort when standing on some surfaces but she never favors her right foot even standing on this perch for hours.Its ideal for distraction-free training sessions and the adjustable height it great because I can make the stand taller than furniture I don't want her landing on so when I put the stand right next to it she will naturally want to go there instead. Plus it has a small footprint and is the most attractive stand I could find online.If you are concerned about no tray to catch droppings, also add plastic and/or disposable placemats to your order because they work great.

I have two of the large T perches. I use them for training my Congo African Grey and Blue Front Amazon. I had seen the Parrot Wizard using them for recall training and that is why I had purchased them. The only issues I have had is that they are a little unstable due to being so tall. My birds have learned to adjust to the instability which has actually made them more confident I believe (especially with my Blue Front Amazon, she was afraid to step on it at first from her cage, now she has no issue). Secondly, the wood is a little slick, which can cause your bird to fall at times (only when jumping or landing on it). My amazon started chewing on one of the perches which actually made it rougher and made it easier to grip. I guess I could try putting vet wrap tape on it so they could get more of a grip. So, I just have my birds recalling to me instead of the perch. That's what the end goal is anyway. They are great to have your bird perch on. You can move them anywhere in the house. The height can be adjusted.

These stands are a must have! I was worried they would wobble but they are very sturdy. The base is nice and heavy and my birds love the perch!. The customer service is excellent as well. I had an issue with one of my perches not fitting right on the stand and he was very kind and sent me replacement parts promptly! These perches/stands are great and easy to move around the house. I love that the wood is grooved so it makes it not so slippery for their feet. Definitely glad I purchased these!

I love these perches and so do my birds. Very sturdy base and I really like the height range. Thank you for another amazing product!
