Win Lose Kill Die: TikTok made me buy it!

Decent book
The book arrived in perfect condition and the writing style of the author was decent however when I finished it I was disappointed. I won't spoil anything but the 'big twist' at the end was pretty predictable but also a bit confusing, it felt like the easiest option and didn't feel entirely fleshed out to me. To be honest I think Win Lose Kill Die was overhyped by Tiktok, I'd rate it 5.5/10

Hooked
What a way to start a book!! Really liked this book , read it in one sitting. I thought I had it figured out about mid book but nope it changed. The main characters were interesting and didn't bore me.

It’s not as good as people make it out to be
Is this book as amazing as TikTok and online reviewers claim it to be? Nope.I fell for the TikTok hype after seeing the first chapter - was hooked by the way it was written. For a thriller, it did the job. It was faced paced and you couldn’t predict what would happen next. However, as a story? The ending was rushed in an attempt to drive some sort of shock twist that it would have been better to play out a bit longer to fill in some gaps. The ending itself didn’t really make much sense, it felt like a cheap attempt at shock value rather than a well thought out plot. The characters were only loosely developed, it was hard to care what half of them were doing and primary and secondary characters felt like they kept switching. There was a romantic interest that didn’t really add much to the story.I would have preferred for the plot that the characters were coming up with to have played out as it would’ve meant the killer had way more motive and the twist could still have been there in some way, but would’ve felt much less of a stretch. It’s an okay book. You won’t necessarily feel like you’ve wasted your time reading it, but you will feel frustrated that it feels like half the story is missing.

Eh
I got it after a tiktok showed the first page. The killers perspective sounded really good but the majority is not that.It honestly feels like the author saw Heather's and thought that's what all teens are like.Eg. Some character talking about how she was busy matching her lipstick to FUNERAL FLOWERS and of course all of them making it about themselves. Couldn't read past chapter one, maybe it gets better but if a book doesn't hook you, I don't see the point going on.

Suspense, till the end
Wow, what can I say, Murphy, has done it again. This book ticks all the boxes for me. There is mystery, and suspense until the very end.I love, how Murphy writes. Her, descriptive detail, of the characters and Morton captured my imagination and made it feel, so very real.I felt I was there at Morton in person, watching everything that was happening. The writing, made me feel very connected to the characters, and almost felt I knew them all personally.I feel this book is definitely a must for YA, but also for the more mature reader. I can’t wait to read the authors next book.

Good twists
Some good plot twists and keeps you guessing to the end. Interesting characters but found the story a bit hard to get into at times.
