Fantastic air purifier. The first one still runs after 25 years of continuous use. I hope this one is just as good. Removes a lot of crap out of the air. Works as it should.

Fantastic product! I walked into a municipal building and immediately noticed how fresh there air was. Saw the unit, immediately realized its utility and bought one for my apartment. I’ve noticed clearer air within an hour of it’s first run, quite remarkable but not unexpected given its specifications: you get what you pay for! There was some confusion on my end because a parcel was split during delivery or some such: however it was fixed same-day, I got my extra filter and UV light. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the Rev C version of these. I have owned 2 original versions of these for years. They just work, and work (and eat filters and bulbs every 6 months) . I would much rather have all the dust and crap go into the filters then into my lungs. The new Rev C is a bit more complicated with a flashier front panel control. The functional parts appear to be the same as they have always been.

The unit I received was unbearably noisy. The sleep mode works only in the small sroom setting. So if you have the machine in a medium, or large room, it will be terribly noisy with no way to ameliorate the sound. In other words, people will have to scream at each other, and nobody is going to sleep unless you turn it off. I reported the item defective to seller, and explained what I was experiencing. The seller confirmed that the sleep mode works on all size rooms, and said maybe the fan had been dislocated during shipping. It took me about 2 weeks to get a pick up, I had to ask for the refund after the unit was received at manufacturer. When the refund was issued, the shipping both to me, and back to the manufacturer were deducted from my refund. Even though the listing said "free shipping". When I complained about it I was told there was nothing wrong with the unit, and I am lucky they didn't charge me a restocking fee of up to 50%. I mention this because this policy was not visible when I reviewed the return policies. BTW I did look through the returns & refunds section, and the policies section, before I ordered. What I received from seller was not anywhere on the site. This is the policy the seller emailed to me AFTER I returned the item: "The item was inspected by the manufacturer and there were no defects. Therefore the customer is required to pay the round trip shipping costs. The seller could also have charged an additional 15% stocking fee per the return policies which was not charged to you. Please be aware for future purchases that third party sellers are not required to offer free returns. Only free exchanges. They can also charge up to 50% restocking fee. Thanks and Regards, Customer Service " Amazon took care of me, and refunded the missing money. However, if anyone is considering this machine, please make sure to contact seller first and confirm things.

I bought (2) SP-20 models (gave one to Daughter) and am Very satisfied with the build quality, operating manual, performance and durability. They have an impressive (4) stages of filtering... and a very complete control panel which indicates the current AQ and provides you with many operating options. The highest fan settings will clear the air quickly and of course are louder than a lower longer term maintenance setting. I have a 1100 sq ft cabin in the PNW and the SP-20 on the Super fan speed/X-Large Room setting will clear intense forest fire smoke smell within 30 minutes of arrival. After that I set controls to Auto/Medium Room (or Small Room) to maintain clean air at a quieter operating level. There is no loud compressor kicking on and off like an A/C unit.. so I do not find the sound of the fan moving air past the filters to be intrusive... more like white noise. I also do not keep the SP-20 near the couch where I spend a lot of time reading or in the bedroom where I watch tv or sleep. The high quality German made motor shows no signs of wear after many years of service. The $100 cheap little plastic air purifiers from China are toys compared to the SP-20 and SO-20C. The American mfg SP-20 & 20C are rated for 1000 sq ft.. when most cheap Chinese purifiers are rated for a maximum of 100 sq ft.. and you are lucky if they last one season. When I buy a fresh SP-20 / 20C filter pack I buy from a vendor that includes a new UV bulb for $95 total... as it is impossible for me to determine if the UV bulb has degraded in performance in over a year. With Covid-19 a constant threat I want optimal protection from aerosols released into the air by visitors to my cabin and from other air born pathogens. Recommended.

I was going to send this item back because the lights stayed read all the time on the sensor, no it just doesn’t sense anything, I might just send it back

Great product but not sure what to do about the the visible light (UVC). I try to place it somewhre where I cannot see it. Air feels fresh and clean with using the product.
