The cup itself is sturdy and metal. It keeps drinks cold. I read the reviews before purchasing and I knew the handle would be plastic. I can attest that is is definitely plastic. It was shipped in a timely fashion. Its perfect for a renaissance fair Ill be attending. It is small(i knew it would be due to the measurements i read) just big enough to hold a can of beer, but its perfect size for me! I dont want to have a huge cup hanging by my waist all weekend anyway. Thanks! It was exactly what I was expecting and exactly what I needed!

The only notes I have are this:I expected it to be a little shinier, and I also didn't expect the small hole at the top of the handle. I'm not sure what its for but it doesn't interfere with the operation of this fantastic tankard one bit. I look forward to downing a hearty pint of my favorite mead with this!

I bought these for my daughter's class' Harvest Feast this year, recreating what we've come to know as the "first Thanksgiving." They worked well and were decently period-correct for our needs. As an added bonus, they are modern enough in build to be used again and again, or just to keep English cider cold.

Bought 2 of these for a RenFaire and they were perfect. They are not huge but they don't need to be. Took most of the beer from the plastic cups they served minus a mouthful. So much easier to carry around than the plastic cups and they kept our Ales cool to boot!
