Iguana Gone 16 OZ with Scent Strips

Watching the video on Iguana Gone’s website showing the bougainvillea that bounced back after using Iguana Gone, I got really excited as that has been my issue here in Florida. I followed all directions yesterday and put a scent pad (on a stick) in the bougainvillea as well as around the area only to find iguanas eating the bougainvillea today. Needless to say, I’m quite disappointed that this didn’t work after the expense and time spent. We had no rain since install and there are no sprinklers that would have washed away the solution from the scent pads.

This stuff really, really works. We live on a canal off of the Intracoastal Waterway in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. We have Iguanas all over our dock, seawall, bushes. We bought two very large dogs that for the last year either ran off the Iguanas or killed them on the dock and seawall, but the smaller ones ate all our flowering bushes and bananas. We had hanging baskets of flowers that we bought in the morning and by the afternoon they were just ugly stubs. Iguana Gone strips on a stick is the only thing that has worked to allow us to have hanging baskets. It worked so well that we zip tied the strips to the top of our fence and they don't even climb on it anymore to try and get to our hanging baskets. We don't wast the spray on the dock or seawall anymore since we have the dogs, but we now have super saturated sea sponges with Iguana Gone and attached them to solar lights at each end of our property where the seawall attaches to the neighbors and that has stopped them from crossing the line and pooping on our seawall and dock. This is really great stuff, but you must keep the strips or sea sponges saturated with Iguana Gone all the time especially after rain. Thank you Iguana Gone!

I received this product about a week ago and have been using it for about four days, so far it isn't helping. it smells REALLY BAD and at first I thought it was working b/c I didn't see that many iguanas, then I noticed that they were back in force. In fact, they were two of them right next to the Iguana Gone strips that I had just sprayed the stuff on about an hour earlier!!! It should be called Human Gone, b/c the smell. I really wish that it had worked but no luck. :(

I wanted so badly to be able to leave a shining review because I so badly wanted this product to work. Unfortunately, this product did not work for me. The iguana's continue to devour my plants. I have found nothing to keep them away. The ones that live on our property seem to be immune to any and everything. They eat plants that they are suppose to leave alone and they don't care about foul smelling sprays. They have gone so far as to rip out two of the stakes that had IguanaGone on them! Ripped them out and moved them away from the plant they wished to devour. I live in South Florida and next to a pond with no other neighbors so they consider our yard their personal salad bar! So frustrated and disappointed that this product didn't work. Perhaps it is because of the area we live in. It's a very expensive product, but I was willing to pay the price if it worked. I have spent hundreds of dollars on plants that have just been eaten by these ravenous beasts.

Iguana Gone works like a charm! I was skeptical because of the mixed reviews but ordered out of desperation. Iguanas had effectively turned my yard, deck and pool into a swamp last summer. The beasts and their nasty droppings disappeared literally within 24 hours of the first Iguana Gone application. Admittedly I didn't follow the directions, I just sprayed the stuff directly onto the entire perimeter of the back deck, along the pool edge and for good measure also along the tops and bottoms of fences. The first application worked for close to six weeks despite my sprinkler system and some heavy rainfall. I've applied Iguana Gone regularly since then. If I forget then as soon as I see an iguana or a dropping anywhere I know it's time to reapply the stuff and they disappear again. The only "negative" thing I can say is the stuff is expensive. Also as far as the smell, yes it's little smelly when first applied but the smell dissipates after about 5 minutes in my experience. I'm flabbergasted at how many people say this product doesn't work! It has worked brilliantly for me.

OK. The best we have found so far but no perfect.

This product does NOT work for South Florida iguanas. Sprayed near and ON a large iguana who was unphased. Smaller iguanas walked right through recently sprayed garden area without being deterred or phased. This product is ineligible for returns so you can't get your money back.

Fist let me say that it does work. That being said, you have to soak the strips with the liquid at least twice a day, every day and this bottle will last you a little more than a week. I do notice that it keeps them away for the most part. They are difficult to dissuade and when they like a particular area they simply walk around the iguana gone strips 5 feet from original poop spot. If I could afford I would keep buying it but honestly for 68.95 a week it's too pricey. I am a small business owner and so know the costs but if they could find a way to make it affordable they would have a great business because it's nearly everyone in Florida that has an iguana problem. I may try one more time with the blocks, iguana gone plus and see if they work and if they last longer but unfortunately if not I won't be spending nearly 300 a month for this. I'll have to find another solution. Worth a try and again if you can afford it, it's pretty good.
