Good value for a quality brand
Tilda is a quality brand of basmati that tends to be higher priced, so I don't buy it often. But I learned my lesson recently, after buying a Pakistani brand that was on special for $10/10 lb. The rice looked great but had absolutely no aroma, which is a huge part of what basmati rice should be. When I saw Tilda for $15/10 lb, I jumped, and I'm really glad I did. This is really good basmati, fragrant and delicious.

this wice is good. lol
this wice is good.im eating as i write thisand yes i typed wice and not white riceproscame in 2 days meaning amzn has a warehose on O'ahu so that is huge plus not having to wait normal week or more even with prime to get to Mauiwish i knew exactly what they stored there as id only order O'ahu based itemsnot rotten / rancidfreshzipper is godo quality even though i never keep my rice in the bag, this bad is well built and could handle the tasktastes like white riceConsit tastes like white riceno rich flavor so that is disappointingbasmati rice is more flavorfulmy fav rice is Japanese rice grown in their highlands but its also highly expensive like 20 for 1 lb. but if you ever get a chance to eat this rice from friend who brothgt it back (not from amazon) but actually visited there, then you gotta enjoy it. that kinda japanese rice is best in the world seriously. i eat tons of rice a day i should know. i ve had black pink red brown india pakistani thia american and nothing compares.so back to this riceit is goodgot here in 2 or 3 daysnot rancid - freshgood bagwill prob. buy againPS:all rice from southeast asia pakistan india etc has lowest levels of arsenic. california has lowest arsenic of usa rice but it is still higher than SEA rice. i still parboil all my rice.you boil in double amount of waterstrainadd normal amount watercook normallythis reduces 50 to 70 percent of arsenic from ricelook it up - researchers found this to be true and they test all the diff methodslots of work but worth as arsenic is no bueno.ps num 2Southeast USA rice has toxic levels of arsenicbut not just rice as SE usa ie Cotton land has arsenic in the soild and water due to cotton king using it as pesticide. so anything from the se usa that grew cotten has high levels of arsenic. yay for cotton ...um no.

Top Quality
I'm not a chef, but my family had been restaurateurs for decades, so I'm fairly discerning. This is an excellent product. The rice is clean, consistent, and top quality. Many people use the "volcano" method to pan cook basmati, but I'm way to lazy for that.If you're like me, first piece of advice, get a life. Second piece of advice, try this:For, e.g., 2 people, combine 1 cup of rice with 1.3 to 1.5 cups of water, a quarter tsp to a half tsp of salt, and about one-half Tablespoon of olive oil or butter. If you have royalty in your bloodline, add a pinch of saffron (totally optional).Microwave on high just to the point of boiling (maybe 2-4 minutes). DON'T let it boil over, or you'll have a big mess. Monitor closely. Once it starts to boil, stop and reset your microwave to a low setting and cook for 10-15 minutes.
