Lot's of fun. Slight learning curve. Read review.
Here's the deal: I wasn't sure about making this purchase after reading so many mixed reviews, but did it anyways. Glad I did. First, let me say my popcorn tasted great! Not sure where other people got theirs from, but the one I received from my seller tasted fine. Now for the cooking - small learning curve required. Since you're having to eyeball when the popcorn is ready based on sound and some rising foil, it can be a bit tricky. I used an electric stove. At first you hear the oil sizzle. Then gradually you hear a pop or two. Maybe you might smell some burning. Don't panic!! This is normal assuming you have your stove at a medium to medium-high setting. I think this is where most people freak out. When the popcorn reaches the perfect temp, you'll start hearing massive popping and expansion of the foil. As per the instructions, shake the container around a bit to spread the oil to all the kernels. Here's the tricky part: it's ready when all of the sudden the popping just STOPS! You might hear one or two more pop, but that's it.Go beyond that and THEN you risk getting burnt popcorn. I ordered a three pack, and each time I followed this method, virtually all the kernels were popped with NO BURNING!! Taste just like I remember. I would recommend, but don't get too upset if you have issues the first time around. Takes a little practice but worth it to me. Enjoy!!

I don't know what people are doing wrong!
I bought the 3 pack of these for sleepovers with my 6yo granddaughter. We had a blast, and she reminds me frequently that I need to have these on hand for when she comes over. I really don't know what people are doing, but I've bought the 3 packs twice and have had nothing but nostalgic fun and good popcorn from them! I'm so happy to share this little bit of my childhood magic with my grands!!

Great popcorn
A blast from the past. I loved Jiffy Pop when I was a kid. We had it for backyard cookouts a lot. It's still good popcorn, even though it's not good for people anymore because of all kinds of stuff. I still love it though.

Not a good product
Didn't pop well the little bit that did was rubbery. Or burnt, I know how to pop jiffy and this was terrible.. Don't buy total waste the money. I tried to trying to get one decent bowl of popcorn very disappointed. You can't return it. So I just spent the money for absolutely nothing

Brought Up Some Good Memories, Yet Tasted As Stale As The Memories
We planned a road-trip to see family. I knew we were going to have a Home-Movies night with the octogenerians and such, and I was feeling nostalgic. Jiffy Pop Popcorn was a staple in our family every weekend (yes, before everyone had a microwave oven). We actually had a list tacked up on the 'fridge to see who's turn it was to cook the next batch of JPP! So, I ordered this three-pack and had it delivered ahead to our destination so all of us siblings had a JPP to cook - without an argument about whose turn it was.It cooked just like it did when we were kids- no disappointment there! It was just as buttery too, yet it tasted stale - for all three JPPs.It was OK, and our kids were FASCINATED by this old-school technology! It made Home-Movie night that much better, despite the stale flavor. If you can relate to this amazing stove-top technology from your youth, order this 3 Pack, and a create some cross-generation memories. It is still, "As much fun to make as it is to eat!"

What's not to love about Jiffy Pop!
These are a fimily favorite and tradition. We don't usually use them in the house as it's just easier to use a microwave popcorn -though they are fun to do over the stove. However they are great for using over the firepit outside and over a fire while camping. Always a fun treat and activity for the family and friends (for our kids and us adults as well). It's fun and a bit mesmerizing to watch the tinfoil on top expand into it's mushroom like shape. As the tin doesn't transmit heat that well, we've never really had any issue with the handle getting too hot as long as the handle itself is not directly over the fire, but best to check this if letting younger kids do their own popping. Once done, you can simply break the top open and serve directly from the plate/tinfoil (like the microwave popcorn bags) or pour into a bowl. They are a bit bulky for storage due to the shape and handles when compared to microwave popcorn bags.
