This metal detector is so cool for kids, and for myself 😅! My daughter just got it for her 5th birthday and it works so good. Just make sure you connect the control box! LOL at first I didn't have it connected and I had my little girl out in the backyard not finding anything, I started thinking I had a defect until I clicked on troubleshoot and learned that I didn't even have the thing connected LOL but since I hooked it up properly it works so good and definitely picks up things underground. Well worth the money and so much fun for my little one. She played with it all day yesterday and we're going back out to the beach today to use it again! Absolutely loves that it has the shovel and backpack. Also... It really does work under water!

This metal detector is fun and simple for kids, seems to work as described. Disappointed that it does not actually fit inside the carrying case - no matter how we oriented it, when shrunk down (short of actually unscrewing the wiring) it will not fit in the carrying case in its entirety.

It was delivered April 1st but my grand children were not allowed to visit in April or May. So, June 2nd, they came and my grandson opened it and was so exited. After putting it together, it doesn't work. The display will come on but doesn't beep when going over coins. I also purchased one for my granddaughter and it doesn't work.

The sensitivity is NOT adjustable as stated in a diff review. but very good for the money.the instructions are pretty lame. a tad fiddly to assemble, but ok. the device will not continue to beep if hovering over metal like old school detectors, it responds only to the CHANGE of whether there is metal there or not. (theoretically this is ok, but not what i was used to.) so u need to swing it back and forth a lot, but that is what u would likely do anyway, so that's ok. It was able to find some land surveying pins which is why i bought it. it was sensitive enuf to find a single brass what looked like handgun bullet casing so that's pretty sensitive. watch the little video in the ad to see assy.

I bought this for my 6 year old daughter and she loves it. My 12 year old son loves to borrow it often. It is well made and easy to use. It is light enough for her to use for hours without getting tired. When she is finished it is easy enough for her to store in the bag provided.

This is perfect for a young child and easy to Use and carry for a little one. It breaks down into smaller pieces and fits into a nice little backpack. The only problem so far is the batteries die after about 10 minutes of use.

This is a amazing little metal detector for kids, it a great way to bond with your kids we have so much fun treasure hunting in our backyard, it really does a great job finding all kinds of metal objects, I would highly recommend this product especially for those of you with kids who would love to be treasure hunters when they grow up !!!
