What coffee does it use?

It's best to use coffee ground for an Espresso machine, or grind your own beans. Coarser ground coffee is better for cafetiere and filter coffee.

what's the temp of the coffee please (without adding milk)? Did anyone try to use a thermometer to measure the temp?

Good Morning Thank you for your question. The coffee should be reaching a temperature of between 70-80 degrees when it is coming out of the coffee spouts. Key points to get the best temperature are to turn the machine on a minimum of 20 minutes before you want to use it to make sure it has reached the correct pressure and run hot water through the boiler outlet first for at least 10 seconds before dispensing coffee to ensure the correct operating temperature is reached. Can I make a cup of boiling water for tea with this machine?

The steam lance that you can see sticking out to the side is used for frothing milk, it can be used to either produce steam or a jet of hot water. Be aware that the quatity of hot water available is determined by the size of the water heater reservoir...i.e. about two Espresso cups worth...maybe half a mug. So you'd be better of simply boiling a small amount of water in a kettle.

Anyone know of a good bottomless basket/filter to go with this? I am not really happy with the taste of the coffee on the pressurised filter
