Cocamidopropyl Betaine Liquid - 1 Kg

- This is essentially a surfactant and a foaming agent. I got it because I react badly to most commercially-made liquid shampoos and "body washes", and after doing some research, gave this a whirl because it's an effective but gentle cleanser. I haven't seen it in dry form, so I ordered this liquid from Mystic Moments because I had ordered from them in the past and was very happy with the product and the pricing. They're located in Great Britain, so it takes a few days for things to arrive, but my orders, including this one, are securely packaged and arrive in perfect condition. - This is concentrated, so it's best to dilute it, not only for the sake of economy but also because it actually works better that way. It washes well and rinses clean. It's a standard ingredient in all sorts of liquid washes.

I used this in a cleansing conditioner I was making. I previously made my conditioner without any cleansing substances, and though I’d try this as it’s very mild and doesn’t foam much. It worked perfectly! I used a small amount (6% of the total of the batch) so I didn’t end up with any suds, but my conditioner is improved now, even if it’s only psychologically (my brain thinks “There’s a cleansing substance in here, therefore my hair must be clean!). I’m currently working on a gentle facial cleanser, and this will be the centerpiece of the formula. My hopes are high that this’ll do the job. When I finish this bottle, I’ll re-order.

This is a very large bottle of cocamidopropyl betain. It works well for many natural skincare products. I'm very happy with the quality and the affordable price.

It took about a month to get here (shipped from Germany to the U.S.) and I was mentally prepared to receive a partially (or fully) crushed and leaking bottle. However, to my surprise and relief, it arrived unopened and fully intact. The bottle seems sturdier than the average. I expected the cocamidopropyl betaine to have a slightly yellow tint but the color of the one I received is clear. Regardless of the color, the quality is excellent. I gave this 4 stars because it's significantly more expensive than other sellers even when taking into account that other sellers are charging shipping for Prime members.

Great condition

I make my own home made cosmetics and body care products. Right now I am working on shampoo and facial cleaner recipes. Betaine is a relatively mild surfactant that I have successfully used in the past in surfactant blends in shampoo and also in body and face wash recipes. This is the second product I have bought from the same supplier and I am happy with my purchase.

A little costly but it is a great product

I'm writing this review because the packaging has to be better. I received my bottle today and it was in a yellow bubble envelope and when I opened it the contents had begun to leak, the entire inside of the envelope was sticky. The bottle has wrapping around the entire bottle and I suspect the cap became loose and this allowed it to leak. It would probably benefit from having a tape wrap around the actual lid. It's difficult for me to determine exactly how much product I lost because of poor packaging but I could see how it might an issue depending on handling prior to delivery. There also could be an issue if you order this and it is delivered and has to be in freezing temperatures for any length of time. In my case it wasn't outside in that sort of environment. Just want to post this because I think that there is room for improvement and hopefully they do something about this, no one wants to open a package that has leaked, especially given that it could have been with other items and contaminated them.

Used as an addition in bath bombs, lovely bubbly foamy bath bombs. Excellent stuff and a little goes a long way. Arrived promptly & securely packaged. Pleased with purchase, happy to recommend.

This item does not look or feel authentic as they state! It’s clear and not pale yellow also too runny and no ingredients are listed. It had a description before and now it’s removed.
