Merrell mens Moab 2 Vent Mid

These are so comfortable and well fitting. I can either be an 8W or a 7.5W in Merrells. the 8W is very roomy and feels excellent. these are well made and seem durable. I ordered 3 pair and each pair fit great. usually I order 3 pairs and 1 or 2 might be too tight and I end up keeping the most comfortable pair, but these were consistent which is great. I'll keep all 3. The Moab 2 is way better than the Moab 3. just bring back the Moab 2 Mid waterproof. I wish I could get a few of those....

Merrell makes great shoes. The Vibram soles are durable and provideremarkabletraction. I have a pair that are similar, same type of sole, and they are over 10 years old. They last! Very well made shoes for hiking and urban street walking. The size 10 W(EE) gives you plenty of room. If you size up 1/2 size it's possible you may feel like they're too large unless you wear thicker hiking socks, then it's perfect. Comfortable without cramping your feet. If you wear athletic type running socks, in my opinion, too much room, not snug. My answer to all of this was to place another running shoe insole, or orthotic insert, on top of the Merrell insole, and it was a perfect fit for normal thickness athletic socks. You can have it both ways with socks of different thickness. The overall weight is heavy like a boot, but I think it should be for protection and durability. These are awesome shoes and they look great! If you haven't owned a pair of Merrell shoes, I think you will love this brand and shoe.

I have drop foot in my right leg, happened when I was a 25 yr old when my pelvis was broken and I wear an AFO inside the shoe to give my toes elevation and do not trip. You can't imagine the difficulty in finding shoes I can wear comfortably with such a condition. The shoes are either too narrow at the toe box and painfully squeeze my toes or two narrow in the center of the foot and the brace will not fit inside. Many times, when I cannot find a wide style shoe, I have to buy a half size or full size larger just to fit the brace and end up tripping often from the extra length. The last pair of boots I bought were Salomon XAforce which were $200 a few years back. Since they are 3 yrs old and a light coyote brown color they have become dingy. They are great boots, probably the best but I didn't have $220 to spend. I decided to give Merrell a try because my 77 yr old uncle, who is also well aware of a good boot from his days in Vietnam, had a pair on one day. After reading several positive reviews, I purchased. The Salomon XAs took at least 3 months to break in, they were so uncomfortable in the beginning but these Merrill boots were comfortable right out of the box it actually surprised me because that almost NEVER happens. My foot is very tender in spots and some days it can be painful just to put ON a shoe. My brace fit in with no modifying whatsoever and the toe box doesn't scrunch my toes and make it painful like some other boots can. Laced up nice and tight they feel great on my feet and I can wear them all day with bo problems, which I cannot do with just any ol shoe. The bottom sole grips snow and ice and I feel fairly confident I will not slip on my butt on the icy Colorado ground. I've only had them about 4 months but so far everything has held up and I've had no problems. They've become even more comfortable than my Salomons and I wear them just as much if not more. Only time will tell if they last as long. I'm glad I got these either way when comparing price and now I'm Merrell guy just as much as Salomon, thanks uncle! 👍🏻

While they're the typical quality you'd expect from Merrell, the extra quality isn't there. I've had many pairs of them through the years and my most notable is the quality and comfort of their products. Had I spent the usual $100-plus for these shoes, they'd have been returned. While everything lines up, side by side, they are visually a little different when you look at them. This may be the reason for their price though Vibrim is usually particular about what product carries their logo. They were extremely uncomfortable at first. Not what I've experienced with any textile product. Usually Merrells are super comfortable, right out of the box. Overall these shoes were bought for hiking and camping in the Carolina mountains so they're purpose built but I've never experienced a break in period with a textile shoe. That's normally more in the over-ankle height, leather boot category. After wearing a few times they have gotten more comfortable. They have a good, sturdy toe point and on wet grass and clay, they were well footed. I am curious about their longevity because their shoes typically outlive their looks for a few years. That said, I always rotate the old shoes in to my yard work shoes and throw them away well before they're dead. I still have a pair of hiking mocs at my in laws house for when we visit and I do outdoor work there, where they have major water drainage issues. They're no newer than 2008 and still nust as comfortable and water tight as they were when I got them. Besides looking like a homeless guy, I'd wear them anywhere that stability and keeping water out would be an issue. Most likely these will last just as long but, there's got to be a reason they were only $60.00 ($75-$110 elsewhere) and it may be that they're not very attractive and not the normal quality shoe that they turn out. Again, they're Merrells and they were only $60. I'm probably setting the bar in the $120 shoe range and had I paid that, they'd have been returned. Otherwise the reason for 4 stars was really the break in time and aesthetics. So far they feel like a great hiking shoe I the under 80 dollar range. I will loop around after some gorge time on wet rocks and steep hills to update. I'd really like to give them the 5 stars they so deserve but now it's a solid 4 star.

Ideal for my day time walks

Ich benutze den Schuh zum Radfahren und zum wandern. Ich habe meine Einlagen darin. Der Schuh ist sehr stabil und wirkt etwas klotzig. Zum tragen im Alltag habe ich mich deshalb entschieden einen ON Schuh zu probieren und bin von der Dämpfung und dem Aussehen viel überzeugter.
