Enjoyable new series opener
Adam is a stuntman who nearly dies in an accident on set. Broken and scarred he returns to his hometown to try to heal with the help of his family. What he doesn't expect to find is Bailey, the shy girl from high school who he had a brief fling with, working for his family now. Bailey is someone he's never gotten out of his head, despite all the years that have passed. This small town, second chance romance is the first in a series. This author is new to me and I enjoyed this one. It's a quick read with lots of characters to be introduced too. I enjoyed getting to know all the brothers (who feature more in the other books) so would definitely read the next one.If you read cowboy/rancher romance, or second chance romance in general you'll know what to expect from this. It's a good read if you like this style of story.Contains : swearing, sexual content, character with ptsd.3.5⭐

Nice contemporary romance with some bedroom scenes
This is a new author for me. The book was well written & edited, with a couple of lovemaking scenes, which made no mention of protection. The characters are interesting - I particularly liked Carter - & nice, even Ray & Kyle who seemed to “step aside” although they were in relationships.Adam goes back to his family’s ranch to recover from a terrible stunt which killed his best friend. He’s lost his nerve & confidence, & isn’t sure he can go back to being a stuntman. Even thinking about getting on a horse or driving about makes him feel sick. What’s he going to do with Hollywood beckoning?Divorcee Bailey has been working on the Campbell ranch for a year, working with the horses & lately, learning to do stunts: simple things like falling off a horse safely. She & Adam had a brief, but intense fling in their final year at high school before he left to chase his dream. Neither have forgotten about the other. It’s probably the reason she rushed into marriage with someone else. When the two of them get together, they can’t hide their feelings, but he’s a playboy who can pick any women, & he’s only home temporarily. Everyone in the small town thinks they’re perfect for one another... Can Bailey risk her heart, her job & her friendship with the Campbells for a quick fling with Adam? Or is there another way?I got this book for free from Amazon, but I will be looking out for more of this series.

Great book
The sizzling heat between Adam and Bailey was great. Adam thought he was finished when he woke up broken burned and scarred for life, but BAILEY wasn't having any of that. Good characters and easy to see that they're would be many more reads about the bad ass Campbell brothers and their love lives in the future. Good read but finished a little too quick for me

A good surprise
I'm surprised at how much I actually enjoyed this book. The writing is a little simplistic but the story is very enjoyable. It's a great book for a relaxed weekend cossying in bed and chilling.

Riding Hard (1)
Aaaw! Everyone loves a happy ending, including me. Adam & Bailey, a match made in heaven & hell. Each will push the other to do the best they can, whether they like it or not. Then will still love each other at the end of every fight, disagreement, perfect. Onto book 2Sue P
