Dirty&Hairy Skunk Odor Neutralizing Spray, 4 oz

When my dog got skunked, twice, I have used this product and followed their specifications. It does not remove the stench totally, but it works remarkably well. I soaked a sponge and applied it to his snout and mouth, carefully avoiding his eyes. It's been a month and there is a faint odor, but nothing more.It is a good product.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I initially washed my dog right when he was sprayed with the homemade solution hydrogen peroxide, Dawn, & baking soda. I waited a couple of days & the smell was still faint. Thinking this would work since my dog was already washed before & this would do the final touches~ NOPE forget it! Nothing works! Once the oil from the spray gets to the skin the only thing to help is TIME! It has been 1 week & 5 baths later. I've read it could take up to 1 full year to go away! Ugh...

Works initially but can wear off and skunk smell returns but more tolerable. My dog got full spray to face so it may be more odorous. You may need to buy more than one. I used 3/4 of spray for one treatment on a 10 lb chihuahua mix

It's not clear from the description, but you need to use this spray, let it dry, and then follow up with the companion product, Dirty & Hairy Skunk Odor Neutralizing Shampoo. Together they're amazing--they really do get rid of the skunk odor, much better than other products we've used. It was recommended a year or so ago by the staff at a local pet store, who said it was the absolute best. We just had a second skunk episode last night and after treatment with this our dog slept in our bedroom as usual with not a hint of skunk smell. Forget tomato juice--this stuff works.
