Billet Bowtie Rear Tailgate Emblem 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado 1500, 15-18 2500HD/3500HD SL283RB

Kind of pricey but looks and fits great on my 2018 Silverado LT 4x4. These are OEM billets which are made of metal and powder coated so the finish will last. You can see and feel the quality of this product. Pretty easy install and only took about 20 minutes. First cut out the provided template and then tape it over the tailgate's gold bowtie. Use a 1/4" drill bit and SLOWLY drill out at the 6 places noted on the template. Drill through the gold bowtie until you see white shavings then STOP drilling. Do this at a 6 drilling points and then remove the gold bowtie. Clean the area where the factory bowtie was removed to ensure that the new black bowtie will adhere. Peel the protective film away from the new bowtie then press it in place. Now enjoy your new black bowtie!!!

Looks good. However, the double stick tape is garbage. After i removed the gold part of emblem, I made sure to clean the surface with alcohol to ensure the tape would stick. As soon as installed the insert the damn thing fell off. What a shame, i would have lost $60 if the bowtie didn't fall as soon as I installed. Meaning it could have falling when i drove it. I ended up using liquid nails all purpose and used 3 strips of clear packing tape for 1.5 days just to be sure they wouldn't fall off!!

Simple straight forward instructions and tape seems to be good.

Not complete only black piece. NOT AS SHOWN IN PICTURE. Deducted restocking fee. Not happy!

Super easy to install. As I have a new 2017 Silverado it came with a templet so we knew where to drill out the hole and pop in the new one. Took maybe 10 min to install. Fits perfect. Highly recommend!

Took this into the dealer to put on my 2017 chevy. They highly recommend not to put on my truck. Cheap and requires to damage your truck to get on. Just go through the dealer for emblems. Its actually cheaper
