Worthy of the name
What you can expect when you receive this (You already ordered it, right?) is a hardcover durable glossy exterior, and an interior of vibrant illustrations where the colors go all the way to the edge in big shapes that really pop off every page. There are a generous number of pages, with maybe just a little more text than the average Dr Seuss book, but pretty close to the same. The content impresses in a way that you might take for granted. What it does is present ideas that are familiar to my three year old son, but mixes them with new ideas and vocabulary he is less familiar with. I would like to think that the average person knows the word "abdomen," for example, but can most people point out this section on an insect? The whole book seems to play this game of establishing a base knowledge kind of idea, then expanding on it just enough to offer the kid little opportunities to know what other people don't know. I think that is at least a small part of my son's fascination with excavators and tractors is that he wants to believe that he is helping us by informing us of what his knowledge has led him to believe these machines are. Did you buy this book yet? Good! Finally!

Nice!!!
Some Dr. Seuss books are a lot of nonsense words and I get it like they’re vintage that’s cool. But among the more modern ones this is probably my favorite one yet. Are used it for a bug unit and it actually has good information and is very cute

Learn About Bugs
I got this book for two reasons - it was Dr. Seuss related and it looked like something that might help my 2-going-on-3 year old daughter's fear of bugs. While it was a Car in the Hat book, it wasn't written by Dr. Seuss himself, and it shows with some of the repetition of words in the rhyme scheme - while informative, it wasn't Seuss-like creative. However, my daughter loved it, and that is all that counts. Just wasn't a fun read to her for me (only because I loved the original Dr. Seuss books, this didn't seem to flow like one).. The important reason for my purchase was to help my daughter's fear of bugs. It did indeed help - she learned and understood that while some bugs might be scary to her, they are indeed helpful and very useful. That actually curbed some fears and honesrly, helped make being outside in the summer wonderful, so for that, I am thankful!

makes one appreciate the bugs:)
I tell my son that I have a new book for him. About what? --he asks. About bugs.--I tell him. He looked disappointed. Then I tell him that it is from Cat in the Hat series. He looks at the cover, sees the bees and agrees to read it. I'd say that the authors have made reading about bugs more fun than I could have imagined. This is by far one of my favorites from the series possibly because I learned a lot of new facts myself. It was simply a good read with the 3-year old. My son concluded: I really like books from series Cat in the Hat. Note that I read these to him in English and then translate to Polish. We bought used book in very good condition and it arrived looking as new.

Le livre a été choisi pour notre petit-fils. Il apprend l'anglais et ce sera l'aider d'une façon amusante. Il est l'un des nombreux que ses parents ont suggéré.
