**UPDATE: After posting my review, the seller, Skystone Direct, reached out to me offering a new set of trays. I declined the set simply because I wasn't 100% certain I didn't cause the rip, but, regardless; I wasn't interested in a new set because I am planning to use what I have (ripped) as long as it lasts and then maybe explore something else. I asked about a refund instead and they willingly obliged and refunded me immediately. Even if I, personally, am unsure about this product for myself, the company has proven to have stellar customer service with a strong desire to make sure every customer is 100% satisfied and THAT has incredible value in this day and age. Thank you, Skystone Direct, for being a company that stands by their product and service.I received these trays yesterday, washed them, filled them and left them overnight in the freezer. This morning, I pulled them out and saw this tear. I have no idea how it got there since I hand washed and filled them and I never noticed a tear. Did the water expand and cause it? Seems doubtful. Maybe I did cause the tear but I can't say for certain. Ultimately, if they are that delicate, I can't imagine how long they will hold up. Spending $12 for 2 trays was already a stretch but I thought they would be the best fit for the space I have. I will continue to use them as long as they will last but I'm disapppinted.

These ice cube trays are great! They are pretty sturdy after you have filled each of the cubes with water and lift to put them in the freezer and easy to clean when freezing things like lemon juice, etc. My only complaint and the reason why I gave 4/5 stars is that the ice cubes are fairly difficult to get out of the trays if they are filled to the brim. The outer row of ice cubes is the most difficult if you are just looking to get 1-2 cubes at a time. Otherwise I am very pleased with this product and would order them again.

I read a lot of critical reviews about these trays. I have been using them for a couple of months and I am perfectly happy with them. The only time I have found any sediment on the trays is when I used mountain spring water, which obviously has minerals. When I use bottled drinking water, purified water or distilled water, the cubes are clear as a bell and the trays are clean. So nothing is coming off the trays. If you have difficulty getting out the cubes in the corners, fill those a little less full. These trays soften over time with use, so they get easier and easier to remove the cubes. I refrigerate the water I use, so the cubes set faster and don't take down the freezer temp.I am adding this four months later. I bought three different types and brands. These are the easiest to use, both emptying and filling. I am ordering more.

As one of the few Americans around who doesn't have a functioning ice maker in my fridge, I believe I am an authority on ice cube trays. I have a broken ice machine in the fridge, but in order to fix it, I would have to empty the frozen contents into a cooler with ice and actually fix it. Way too much work and the ice trays I have take up the same amount of room as the ice cube bin under the maker. I am just too lazy for all this work. So I got lots of ice cube trays and make my son fill them everyday. Much more reliable than the ice maker. Anyway, these ice cube trays are really weird and I think my review is an aesthetic one, cause ice is ice and once they are out of the tray, it's still just ice. But the silicone smells a bit, the cubes are too small for my tastes, and they are much harder to get out of the tray than the old white plastic trays that I use. Seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

We purchased these over 3 years ago. We use them for ice tea cubes in the summer, lemon and lime cubes as well as just plain ice cubes. The cubes come out easily. And, after 3 years of constant use they are like new. Great product.

as seen in other comments, they are a small challenge to release the cubes. the silicone is far more elastic and flexible than I had imagined which requires a deft touch when "gingerly" placing them in the fridge lest the water spill en route to the freezer section. however, they do work as advertised, are very affordable and fit into a larger holding tray thus the reason for three stars

I had never used silicone ice cube trays before and was pleasantly surprised with these. I use them to freeze individual servings of pesto, left over lemon juice and things like pulverized peaches (for smoothies). I even sometimes use them to freeze ice cubes!

I bought these ice trays in 2 different sizes and both take forever to freeze. My old, cheap plastic trays freeze in about 3 hours and these take at least 6. Typically I would be making and storing ice all day on a day when I am going to have guests over in the evening. I can make plenty of ice for the festivities in the old trays. With these it takes at least 2 days, maybe three to make the same amount of ice.The quality of these is good they just don't fit with my life style.
