Best I've used in 30 years
I love this stuff. It's not the cheapest but I'm on my second bag & it's the best dishwasher soap I've used in 30 years. About 1 tablespoon (via enclosed measuring spoon) gets off all food, leaves the inside of the dishwasher clean, and leaves no water-spot or crusty-powder residue behind. Plus I'm happy knowing it's not adding unneeded chemicals to my septic system.

Old school style new school clean
Its so hard to find a good more natural dish cleaner. I was using clean people and I loved them. However, they use plastic for their pods and dont have a powder only option. I got tired of buying them and cutting the plastic off. They say the plastic melts and is safe but it clogs my dish washer. Also I dont want harsh chemicals on my kids cups and things. This brand doesnt leave a film and is a really good product. I think it cleans my dishes well and the price is agreeable. Is it more money than powders at the store, yes but is it worth my piece of mind and knowing we are safe for using a more natural product, yes. I love this tin BTW! Its just a little hard to open, but I have small children so that's fine. I keep it locked away anyways. I want to buy the soap butter dish as well and switch my liquid soap too. I will be buying as long as they are selling. Great products!

Works Well!
I just started using this product about a week ago. I honestly can say I love it. My dishes were clean! I had 2 pieces of silverware that needed to be rewashed, some stuck on food was on them. However, I've seen this happen with brand name dishwasher pods too!!! I love that it doesn't contain harsh chemicals or fragrances. Trying to minimize the amount harmful chemicals in the products we are exposing ourselves to. Will be purchasing this again!

Good product, poor packaging
Love this product! Gets our dishes sparkling clean. We have ordered this product multiple times and haven't ever had an issue. This time however, the powder spilled out the container while shipping to us. Most of the powder was in the shipping box and some had spilled out of the box along the way. Our previous containers were wrapped with a tamper resistant seal that prevented the lid from opening, but this one wasn't. Not sure if it was a fluke or if this will be an ongoing issue.

Don't bother
The worst dishwasher powder that I have used. Doesn't clean dishes and leaves a film on them. Over priced for a product that does not work.

Love this product!
Love this! I wanted a low tox alternative to dishwasher pods. I use the laundry products they make, so I thought I would give this a shot. The tin is so cute. I’m a sucker for appealing packaging as a side note. I am really impressed! I have hard water so I do need a rinse aid for pure sparkle. But no biggie, that’s easy and happens with any dishwasher products I have used over decades and my choice on that is Lemme Shine. I rarely write a review but this really is a great product and it feels good knowing I’m doing something that is better for my family and the environment. The tin lasts a very long time, I haven’t kept exact track but way longer than what it says on the can. Last point, we tried blueland but the pods never fully dissolved and my dishwasher tech said powder was the best way to go.

excellent product
I started using Nellies Dishwasher Powder after I watched a YouTube video about dishwashers and what works best in them. Apparently powder works best. I wanted to find something good but also economical and that product has been Nellies Dishwasher Powder.

Holy cow this stuff works
Holy crap! I purchased this product because I was looking for an alternative to dishwasher pods. Trying to eliminate micro plastics. I use Nelly's laundry soda, so I thought I would give this a go. Upon arrival, I was thinking the tin is so small! No way this is 100 loads. I paid 30.00 for it and set my self up on a subscription for every 3 months. Not only are my dishes are clean and residue free, but my first replacement arrived yesterday in the mail. I haven't even gone through half the can!!!! I have a family of seven and we run the dishwasher nightly! The only downside is that it didn't come with a scoop. So I took the little blue spoon from my laundry detergent by the same company. I am seriously impressed! So impressed, that I actually am writing a review; which I next to never do. My guess is that if you buy this product, you won't be disappointed. I personally maybe use the equivalent on a teaspoon to a teaspoon and a half. It does not fill the detergent compartment. That may be why I don't get spots on my glasses. Maybe less is more with this product. Pretty cool either way!

I bought this because our tap water is pretty hard, and most dishwasher pods either leave a cloudy film or don’t dissolve properly. After using Nellie’s for a couple of weeks, I’m honestly impressed. One small scoop is enough, and it actually dissolves fully, even on the quick wash cycle. The biggest difference for me has been the glassware. With other detergents, I’d usually get those annoying white spots or streaks, but this powder leaves everything clear. Plates come out clean, and cutlery looks brighter too. I still give anything with baked-on food a quick rinse first, but that’s pretty normal with hard water anyway. The powder can clump a bit if you leave the lid loose, so I keep the tin closed tight and it’s fine. The tin itself is solid and nicer than the plastic tubs most detergents come in. Overall, for hard water, this has been one of the best detergents I’ve tried. Simple, unscented, and it actually does the job.

I was having lots of problems with my dishwasher and regular dishwasher detergent, it was not cleaning properly- spraying dried food stuff onto the glasses and dishes, and it's a new dishwasher! I tried using my own mix of salt/baking soda and vinegar which was a bit better, but not much. This Nellies product is AMAZING. My glass wear is sparkly clean, and so are the dishes. There is no horrible detergent smell when opening the dishwasher and no residue. I am extremely pleased and would recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid chemical dishwasher products and wants a more natural product. I feel it actually cleans BETTER than Cascade, better than anything I have tried. I also don't need to add the special glass rinse aid anymore either and a little goes a long way! Highly recommend

This Made In Canada product gets the dishes sparkling -- using a very small amount of soap, so better for the environment. It removed all those annoying coffee stains from cups -- and less soap into our streams and oceans.

Will never buy chemical dishwasher soap ever again! Gets dishes and glass spotlessly clean. No harsh chemicals. Nothing left on dishes after a wash. No need for spot remover as this stuff gets everything I put in there spotlessly clean. This is now my go-to dishwasher detergent!

Final review: Definitely made a mistake. Dishes NOT clean at all. There were streaks still and glasses all foggy and I could feel stuff on the plates. Thought maybe I didn't put in enough product and tried again with an extra rinse this time. Made no difference. Through in some regular detergent the 3rd wash and dishes finally clean. So VERY disappointed in the product. Too heavy to bother returning. Have been scouping it into dirty frying pans as an initial soak - not doing much good there either. Hard to get a good picture of something shiny but here they are, first after 3 washes with Nellie's and 2nd - 1 wash with other stuff. First Review: There is no scent as such, but it has a very mild smell (soda-like). Unlike others, there were a few things it didn't clean that well in the dishwasher, but I'm not sure if it's the soap or my dishwasher. I like it way better than the dishwasher soap I used that when you opened the door this horrid smell came out, so I'm happy with it. I'll see how it keeps doing in subsequent washes.
