These are the best figs I have ever eaten. They are big and fat and meaty. France always grows goodfruit. Must be the climate. I absolute love and recommend these figs. Don't hesitate. Just buy them.

If you like figs that do not taste like dried up shoe leather, then these are for you. They are moist, plump, and very tasty. You can eat them out of the jar, or use in recipes. I no longer buy any other brand of figs.

As a person without access to fresh figs, I'm constantly looking for a substitute so I gave these a try. Sigh. They're not bad: they are indeed moist and soft, moderately tasty, and not swimming in sugary syrup. Despite the fact that they're in a glass jar, to me they have a slightly tinny taste, something like drinking canned beer when you're used to draft or bottled. if you're like me and looking for the truly luscious experience of eating fresh figs, I think you'll have to do what I did after this experiment: buy a small tree and wait for the fruit.

That's about the story. These are not dried figs, nor are they packed in syrup. Just tender, moist, but not very tasty figs sitting in a potentially re-usable glass jar.
