Easy to Position Crafting Solder Helper Helping Hands Holder Station Handy Dandy

This gadget replaces the classic helping hands wire holder and it's great! Two flexible "hands" with alligator clips and ball joint bases are set in a block of wood. This is so light and easy to position, why didn't anybody think of this before? I use it to hold specimens for botanical art and the whole class is changing over. Much lighter than the original "helping hands", and easier on the inside of the art bag. Good stuff!

Cool little dude, the arms work great and are flexible all around. The base is made out of a sturdy wood and doesn't tilt over when I have it holding a wire or chip for soldering. The arms come out of the base and fit back in so this is great. I like the way it looks as well, almost a gothic look to it.

It's okay to use

Works far better than most other soldering holders with combined magnifying glasses that I have used int he past. Much more robust and hasn't fallen apart after use. No magnifying glass included, but your need for that will vary.

I thought it would be bigger/ heavier. But it works okay

Works great. Have had no issues. This is a lot nicer that those 5 arm helpers. Smaller and more stable.

The alligator clips were glued into the movable beads with foam glue! The alligator clips popped out within the first 3 minutes out of the shipping box without using very much pressure! I reapplied the alligator clips with epoxy that can withstand heat. Now this helping hands holder works how is should with the epoxy in place.

Surprisingly well-made. A lot better than the metal base ones that are in the similar price range.
