God price for great ink but volume of printing unknown
The Epson ink is great quality and price is little below average; but the amount of pages that each cartridge will print is not known. Most (95%) of my printing is black. The print quality is excellent and I have switched to draft quality on most printing to conserve ink. I am tracking the number of pages printed and will post a follow up.

Takes a lot of abuse, new respect for Epson
I use my printer and ink almost exclusively to make acrylic transfers. Inkjet printers are normally TERRIBLE for this (as the amount of water used smears/ruins the ink) however the Durabrite series is unique and can be used for this purpose. Couple this with the fact that it can stand up to a LOT of abuse once it's dry.A quick lesson on transfers, so you can understand what this ink has to go through at my hands: If you put acrylic medium on a printout (most common ones are laser printed, or photocopied) it will bind with the ink, pull it OFF the paper, and make it's own image in the medium. A direct transfer is when you put medium on the paper, and press it onto another surface. The same thing happens, but your image is mirrored on surface. You spray the paper and it peels away with no problems leaving your image (in this case, Durabrite ink) permanently suspended in the medium.Any other inkjet ink would run, smear, and fade immediately as soon as water touched it (think vampires in sunlight). The Durabrite runs a bit if you REALLY hose it down, but does not smear or stain. Even when it's run a bit, it was easily wiped up without any staining or permanent smudges. My blacks are vibrant black, even in my finished pieces that have been wet, re-wet, and scrubbed with sponges and paper towels. This piece in particular ([...]) is primarily done in black. I sprayed it down entirely with water several times (as it's a multi-layer piece) and as you can see the black held perfectly. If it can hold up to my abuse it will print your resume, report, term paper, Dear John letter, family photos, or faxes just fine.
