Delphi FD0029 Electric Fuel Pump Motor (Solenoid Style)

AFTER THE OLD FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED, TRUCK HAS EXCELLENT FUEL PRESSURE AND GREAT QUALITY DELPHI FUEL PUMP.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I'm using this pump on an old car that I converted to EFI. I originally used a frame mount pump from Holley. It eventually succumbed to the Gov't mandated ethanol fuels and wouldn't pump anymore. I wanted to replace it with something that was identical to the old pump because I didn't want to reconfigure the mounting, plumbing, or wiring. This Delphi pump appears to be identical to the Holley (NOS) pump that I was using. I mean exactly the same. So it fit right back in place and fit perfectly. I did immediately notice how quiet this pump is. It's much more quiet than the old pump was even when the old pump was good. It's mounted in a foam case so even though it's external, you cannot hear it from outside the car. The only time I can pick up the sound is if I turn to key on to prime and not start. Makes the pressure required (39psi) for my system. almost immediately. So far it doesn't seem to mind the awful Gov't Ethanol crap gas. Time will tell though because as we all know, the Gov't and mess up anything.

The first one I was sent wouldn't even run the vehicle.I sent it back and got another of the same.It worked ok for a couple of weeks,but now whenever it gets hot it shuts off.I haven't had a chance to take it back off yet.I think when I do I'll try and get my money back and buy something different
