Yes, you CAN use the Clicgear cart as-is with the fixed wheel up front with the Alphard V2 motor in the back. HOWEVER it does absolutely force the motor to work harder and cut down the advertised 27 hole range down to, in extreme cases, less than 18 holes. So this swivel kit is absolutely worth it. You CAN disassemble the front of your Clicgear cart in a way that 100% preserves the brake but you need to be wary of the bolts that hold the front piece to the cart. The two bolts on my cart were over-torqued from the factory to the point where both easily stripped when trying to be removed. So I had to use a drill to destroy the bolts.

I just finished the install. First the directions were very sparse and of little help. It’s pretty straightforward on how everything should fit but no tips to help make it easier. The disassemble of the Clickgear front wheel, which is build to not be disassembled, was not an easy task. Once done you are totally committed to install the wheels because you have destroyed the front wheel mount. That is when I discovered that the mounting holes would need to be drilled. It is now assembled and works. But I am too tired to play golf … maybe tomorrow.

Works perfect for Clicgear 3.0. Wasn’t too bad to install. V2 is much more stable with 4 wheels, o have zero worries about it tipping over. You won’t notice the lack of zero-turn ability when you’re on course, upgrading to 4 wheels is worth every penny.

My husband loves this adaptation to his golfing experience! Easily charged with a phone app as well, nice feature. Good quality and functions just as you would expect. Golfing 5 days a week, he wonders why he didn’t think of getting one earlier!

It says easy to install but if came with a wrench, came with a screws heads are hex or ??? Now I have to research it and buy, I should return

I purchased this along with a Alphord V2 Club Caddy motor to go with a Clic Gear 3.5. The device fit perfectly with the existing cart, and the wheels were easy to install. It make steering and tracking on the course. The instructions for installation were W-A-A-Y better than those accompanying the V2 itself. They were a bit of a struggle. This product ships from Clic Gear which likely explains the ease of installation. One tip: Steering on concrete path is not necessarily easy. As you move from green to next tee, get to grass as soon as you can.

Nice quality…what you would expect I guess. I have the older Clicgear cart (2009 I think) so it required drilling. If you’re handy it’s easy but I could see where it would be a problem for some. Also, the directions aren’t great…over simplified, not enough information, and the provided pictures are much too small. For example, the brake will no longer work so it would have been helpful for the directions to say that. The directions only said to cut the cable (so it no longer works) and put the end of the not working cable into a hole in the kit designed only to hold the end of a not working brake cable. I thought it would be better to provide directions on removing the brake cable and handle entirely and explaining why the break is actually not necessary with this set up. You would think for $90. The directions would be much better.

Easy 15 minute install. Clear directions that were easy to follow. My cart is now more maneuverable and the extra weight at the front keeps the cart from tipping back on it’s wheelie wheels except on the steepest hills. Battery life is the same. I get one round out of the battery with 2 dots of light left. Excellent product!

Converted my ClicGear 3.5+ this month with the Alphard Kit and very quickly ordered the front wheel conversion kit as well. Instead of dragging the front stationary wheel from side to side to make a turn. the conversion kit allows a smooth turn. Takes a while to get used to but after a couple of rounds you will be glad you invested. Adds stability to the front of the cart as well.
