Very good book for coffee table excellent photographs and descriptions of types of guns and classes they fit into excellent read side matches are covered however this book is not dedicated to the wildbunch discipline so don't buy if you want to read up on wildbunch side matches as you'll be dissappointed

GREAT for all interested western cowboys

Good book, lots of very good info and a lot of very nice photos. Info on the background and equipment of Cowboy Action Shooting is included.This book is already 15 years old, so there are a few things that are somewhat dated in this book

This book is a great overview of the cowboy action shooting sport. The only negative is that it only had one chapter on the mounted action shooting, but overall it is colorfull and fun to read. Covers many of the basics and the background.

I found the book to be very informative and helpful. However, the title, Beyond the Wild Bunch" is misleading in that i expected more information regarding Wild Bunch competition. The information was very helpful in guiding the reader toward the Cowboy Action competition and equipment necessary to participate. Overall an excellent book and a good instructional manual, Keith Leoni.
