Easy solo install. Lightweight. Slimmer than expected above grid
Really great product. The specs say it’s 6” deep but keep in mind that’s from the bottom of the smallest diffuser layer to the top of the boot. Pretty low profile above the grid outside of the boot. As long as you have clearance for that and some flexible duct it takes about 5 minutes to install by yourself. An extra set of hands would make it even quicker but was able to do mine solo and I can be kind of clumsy; very lightweight material; actually temporarily let it hang off the duct after clamping to make sure it was all secure before setting it in the grid. I skipped on the dampener too. The one I was replacing blew straight down and was kind of harsh. The four directions and three layers on this one really soften up the distribution nicely. Sorry for all the details but I was sweating over which one of these to get and I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out.

Good product - not easy to navigate Amazons website
This product is great but it took ages to figure out what else we needed. No installation instructions. Some comments on "others also bought this" Nothing about why. Does the duct simply attach to this (it does) - how do we close it - answer was it doesn't - we needed to buy dampers separately.

Fits well, and it was easy to install. I like that it’s plastic because I live in a humid environment.
