Book review
Excellent book but all the colour photographs are printed in black and white (poor quality). Not satisfied with this part. I have purchased paperback edition where this aspect was not mentioned. Explanation & technical parts are really good

Up to date content.
A huge plus, measurements are in the metric system. The photos of European species of insects, plants and small animals. The photos are worth the price of the book. Several photos of rare and endangered species. And thank whatever photo gods there may be, there is not a single picture of Half Dome!If you have any desire to do anything macro, from using close up filters to dedicated macro lenses, this is the book that you can't afford to not have.It is as much up to date as any digital photo book can be.

A must read for anyone who wants to excel in macro photography.
Received the book promptly , and what a delight it was to read. The informative text is only surpassed by the stunning imagery. A must have for any macro photographer who wants to take their photography to an advanced level.

GREAT Book. Great buy
This is a FANTASTIC book. It's very easy to read and understand, and the photographs provide the info you need to better understand macro settings for various environments. I cannot say enough good about this text. DEFINITELY worth the money. Thank you Robert Thompson.
