Updated review July 2, 2021 I've used Overture PETG: White, Red, Yellow, Grey, "Space Grey" etc. from their "multi-pack sale" (6 rolls for a bargain) I have had nothing but GRIEF with the "BLACK ROLL" I was sent. It is utter GARBAGE. All the other colors of PETG print fine. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR BLACK PETG. The black is "blobby", "stringy", won't stick to the bed no matter WHAT settings. It's like they threw a roll of weed-whacker nylon into a vat of black dye and called it PETG. Whatever chemical composition this black PETG is from Overture it is certainly not anything I will EVER buy again. As a matter of fact, I have spent SO MUCH TIME trying to get this stuff to print I will never buy ANY filament from this brand again. I'll take my chances elsewhere. Even though I had GREAT results with their "other colors"... quality control is a HUGE issue for me. MY TIME IS MONEY! Something is seriously WRONG WITH THEIR BLACK PETG. (YES! I have a PrintDry. Yes my bed is leveled. Yes I have calibrated extrusion/PID tuned my machine. (all other colors WORK FINE!!!) You have been warned! --------------------------------------------------- Original Review: Printing PETG is easier than ABS. I am getting great results using the following equipment/settings: -Creality Ender 3 with Bigtreetech 32bit board/LCD touch screen (shouldn't matter STOCK ender 3 will work) -Capricorn Bowden Tube -All metal hotend (not necessary but certainly helps!) -Creality GLASS bed -Dollar Store HAIRSPRAY to reduce the chance of damaging glass bed when removing pieces (might want to google that as PETG is notorious for welding itself to glass and ruining your glass bed(chips)) Material: Overture PETG WHITE Cura Slicer settings: Printing temp(nozzle).: 250º Celsius Bed temp.: 85º Celsius Retraction Distance: 4.00 mm Retraction Speed: 40 mm/sec Fan Speed: 40% Cura Print SPEED: 40mm/sec I am using these setting on a basic LOW QUALITY print with 30% infill for most prints and couldn't be happier with the results. I'm using this filament for real-world outdoor functional parts. INFILL for structural integrity is up to you. I'm sure I won't need 100% INFILL for the parts I am making as they are just fine so far Hope that helps!. The prints even on LOW QUALITY (tweaked in CURA to my liking) are turning out amazing. Love this filament so far! Will be buying more if the price is right! -------------------------------------------- Update June 8, 2021 Have printed a lot with this filament now. Today I printed a few temperature towers and retraction towers on my Ender 3. New results/Cura Settings: ------------------------------- Print Temp: 245ºC Bed Temp: 85ºC Print Speed: 40mm/sec Wall Speed: 20mm/sec Initial Layer Speed: 15mm/sec Initial Fan Speed: 0% Regular Fan Speed: 35% Fan kicks in @ .6mm height Quality: .2mm/layer height (Standard. Never messed with the defaults from PLA in Cura) Retraction Settings(After temp/retract towers dialed in): Retract Speed: 40mm/sec Retract Distance: 3mm This is giving AWESOME results! You can always chk it out at 3D.TheWoodShop.CA (live stream of my printer in action) as it's almost as much fun as watching paint dry. /wink Hope that helps anyone using this filament. I will definitely be getting more of this Overture PETG. It seems consistent and of good quality. Update June 24/2021 I have had very good results with ALL Overture PETG except for their BLACK PETG. I have used A LOT of Overture PETG and am not a newb. I have even tried drying for over 48 hrs(overkill, i gave up trying 24 hes... like it SHOULD BE) in my "PrintDry". I am not using a microwave LOL... a kitchen oven...or a beef jerky dehydrater. I am using a "PrintDRY" that dries ALL other filaments JUST FINE!! That said... All other filaments I have dried and printed work just fine. (Bed adhesion/proper extrusion/bed leveled, Calibrated etc.) Overture BLACK is utter garbage. It WILL NOT stick to a bed (glass, hairspray, gluestick or otherwise (MUCH TESTING)... AVOID THIS BRAND's BLACK PETG. ABSOLUTE JUNK! 3D.TheWoodShop.CA (live 3D prints of these filaments I review here)

I've purchased bulk boxes of filament before, and it's a great way to get a lot of filament for relatively cheap. Overture has been my go-to for petg and tpu since I started my 3d printing. They are great filaments for the price point. Nothing too flashy but reliable and affordable. The color choices in the premade boxes are lacking, but they are all right. However, in my last two boxes, I've had problems. One spool out of the vacuum-sealed package was so brittle that as it unwound, it would snap every complete revolution, making it unusable. I couldn't return it. By the time I got to that spool, it had been past the return window for the product. In the next box I got, I had two spools so poorly wound they knotted themselves and jammed, causing prints to fail. I tried printing the same thing and wasted what was left of my black PETG before it would knot up and fail, and then my red had the same issue. I am currently using my Blue, hoping for better results. I will try to re-spool my red and fix any knots, but I shouldn't have to inspect every KG of brand-new filament fresh out of the package. It would be worth paying more for better quality control or going to another, more reliable brand. I don't know if I will repurchase another bulk box of Overture.

Probably the best brand for my S1 Pro. Coupled with a thicker magnetic plate and upgraded hot end, my prints are excellent. Rarely have to post process other than buring tool for the edges. I did notice the dye made a big difference in adheasion, for example, White near impossible to clean the plate and Black removed without issue.

I am currently using these with my bambu ps1 and it seems to be a good fit for the machine. I do recommend running them through a dryer if you keeps them out for a period of time it just assists in the quality of your print. This isn't anything new for PETG. Most filiment will absorb moisture so just know this is something you need to do for most materials.
