Q: Does the other end of the plug have a regular 3 prong

No, this is a 4 wire plug. You will need to connect your 4 wires to the correct prongs. This is not a 4 wire to 3 wire adapter.. If you don’t know how to wire a 4 wire or 3 wire plug I strongly recommend having someone who is experienced in Electrical wiring.

Q: What is largest guage wire for this

I used #8 stranded , but it was tight. I believe #10 would be ok, for 30 amp..
