Comfortable for late evening driving to avoid bright lights. Also the color change during sunny day when I walk on the road.

These sunglasses are seemingly well made, are very light and comfortable and turn relatively quickly from amber to light brown. As with most budget photochromatic lens cooler the surroundings the darker the tint will become. I liked that they did not, in 70 degree weather, turn very dark. But they are deficient in polarizing effect compared to other budget polarizing sun glasses. They do provide some glare protection but enough to make it you deciding reason to buy them. Finally, the lens clarity are not as sharp as other similarly priced non-photochromatic polarizing lens. The second image is a photo through the lens of the UV400, the first image is through a non-photochromatic polarizing lens of similar price and the last image (on the right) is the image with no lens in front of the camera. All images are enlargements of a much larger photo. In practical use the lack of sharpness is barely noticeable and light yellow tint is great for driving. I'll certainly keep and use these glasses for night driving and day bicycling.

2021/12/21追記以前買った3043というモデルが、くたびれてきたためA557というものに買い替えましたが、A557のほうがレンズの色が濃く感じます。あと、3043の場合耳掛けのゴムが簡単に外れますが、A557の方は圧入か何かで、簡単に外れません。鼻当て部分が3043の場合はハニカム構造ぽい感じで肌に当たる面積が少なく跡がつきにくいですが、A557は厚みのあるゴム板っぽい感じなので跡が付きやすいです。いずれ簡易的なものと考えたほうがいいので、ちゃんとしたものはメガネ屋で吟味したほうがいいかと思われます。運転用に買いました。イエローレンズのものを買いましたが、日中は対向車線のフロントガラスが、黄色味を帯びた感じで、違和感を覚える方もいるかもしれません。夜間に関しては、色調がほぼ変わらないように思えます。試しにとコンビニの雑誌コーナーで、売っていたドライビングメガネよりも、こちらのほうがいいですね。
