High Protein Rich ChocolateMy daughter & I are lactose intolerant. She moreso than me. (Lactaid tablets don't help her; she can only use Lactaid brand lactose free milk. Off brand lactose free milk doesn't agree with her.)I'm telling you this because neither of us experience any problems when we drink one of these a day. I have problems if I drink more than one a day.These have a thicker consistency...not thick like a milkshake, but thicker than milk.We like the chocolate flavor even though the flavor is a bit different. I only buy the High Protein version which contains 15 grams of protein & 28 grams total carbsI know these are designed as a breakfast drink, but I typically reach for one if I know I'll be missing a meal. The other day a family member was taken to ER at meal time so I grabbed a couple of these to share because we missed our evening meal.Gluten FreeSuitable for those with Lactose Intolerance

This tastes great, and much more convenient than the mix version of it that you have to add to milk or water. It tastes just like chocolate milk, but gets you more protein and gets you vitamins that you would not get with chocolate milk. I like to mix it with a scoop of chocolate meal replacement powder (by adding a little bit of water to it and using a blender, not a shaker cup) so I can get a bit more calories, protein, and fiber. But, it is just fine on its own if you do not want anything more than what is in it.

This nutrition drink taste very good better than Ensure and Boost nutrional drinks it taste more natural there are no artificial flavor, colors or sweetners, specially it's chocolate flavor taste better than any other nutrional chocolate drink it taste like real chocolate. I have tried their 3 flavor vanilla, strawberry and chocolate they all taste very good. Comparing it to Boost high protein it has less calories less sugar but it also has less protein they are both gluten free. Although they are name is Breakfast Essentials it can be taking any time of the day your stomach will thank you they're very soft to the stomach. Everyone should try them their 3 flavors tastes very good.

I purchased this one for someone else - she loves the flavor, the convenience & needs the protein supplement & the calories at 94yrs old ! She will have me order it again for her .

I buy these for my mom and have them delivered to her home north of me. She does not eat enough and with these I am sure she is getting nutrition she needs, put them in your frig and nice and cold and delish. Fills her up as well.

I really like this stuff! 5 stars all the way!It has a consistancy the other varieties lack. Even the rare High Protein with fiber is not to my liking.This reminds me of chocolate flavored whole milk.I often indulge in 2 a day, the second serving just because I like them.Except for the protein it's nearly the exact same vitamins and minerals in capsules on my desk and I'll walk into the other room and fetch one of theese instead.High Protein, Rich Milk Chocolate is the only one I have tried that I say that about.I recieved 4 cases of "with fiber" by repeated ERROR and Amazon left it to me to toss them.It's not BAD but I purchased my favorite MONTHS before I ran out of the free 'with fiber' stuff.I still have 2 more cases to pawn off on someone, LOL. It may go to the curb. :-(YMMV

My daughter's nutritionist recommended a drink high in protein to go along with her afternoon snack to help my daughter gain weight. My daughter is an extremely picky eater. We tried other brands available on store shelves, but she didn't like any of them. Finally, my mom recommended this brand. Mom drinks one every morning. So my daughter tried it, and she likes it. It has become part of her dietary regimen.

First off the price is lower and you get a few more by ordering here than picking them up locally. I order this all the time for my grandmother who needs the extra nutrition. She likes the taste of both the vanilla and chocolate. I think they are gross but that’s just me - she loves them. So as long as shes happy it’s a great buy.
