Animal Friends of Pica Pau 3: Gather All 20 Quirky Amigurumi Characters

I have had success making the toys by this author, and they come out like the picture.

Love all of her patterns. She writes clear concise directions. I’ll be make these for years to come. Working on the penguin right now.

I’ve been making Pica Pau characters for my nephews for Christmas for years, and they (and my sisters!) adore them. I love making them! When I saw there was a third book, I gasped and immediately preordered it! Pica Pau animals are by far the most incredible and creative crochet creatures I’ve ever seen. I love their faces, I love their fabulous outfits, I love the color suggestions—they’re perfect. The book is also well written—there are photos showing you how to attach body parts, for example. Even if you are a beginner at crochet, there are LOTS of instructions describing how to do the different stitches you’ll need (again, with photos). I can’t recommend this enough!

I love these designs. Yan Schenkel is such a talented amigurumi designer. The patterns are very well written and easy to understand. There are also many great tips and tutorials throughout the book. Another reviewer stated about how the whale pattern isn't coming out correctly, or twisting. There is a part in the book that explains it, but I am not having that issue. Also, I find that things may appear a little wonky when you first crochet them, but after you get the other parts attached and get it stuffed, they usually straighten themselves out.

I fell in love with the characters immediately after purchasing this book I had several characters I wanted to make for gifts.I have completed many amigurumi patterns by various authors, out of books, online and Etsy and I have never encountered issues. The front section of the book does show examples of how to do certain stitches, very basically, and then there's the mosaic intarsia/jacquard patterns that are included in the snail for example... The pattern just goes on to say 'continue in jacquard '... So I turned to the pages it recommends at the start of the book to read about how to do this... No explanation just talks about what the 3 differences are between the 3 names of colourwork ... Now I'm happy to Google and You tube things but at the price of this book I would expect better and clearer directions. I have paid much less than this for other authors books and have not even needed to read the starting chapters on how to do stitches etc because it's clearly shown. I think that 3 stars is about accurate. I live the characters and I've been able to fudge my way through the hen, snail and the penguin so far...

Another great book! The instructions are well written and the photos are superb! I’m always amazed at the creativity of her designs!

Just got PicaPaU3 and OMG, she is a genius, each one of these patterns is absolutely adorable. I love that she always gives us an introduction with step-by-step and pictures to be able to complete the patterns. I love that each pattern has its own story. Everything is so clear and easy to understand, and I love the skill leave section where I can find the skill needed to complete the pattern and the page where I can learn that skill. I'm a beginner and I find her patterns easy to read, organized, and too cute for my heart to contain🥰. Thank you so much for another wonderful amigurumi character.

I love everything about this book the pictures are great it’s really good quality everything about the way it was made I’m very happy with it thank you I purchase all three books and they’re my first collection of amigurumi books thank you so much I love them ❤️🥰🙏

I have the other 2 books as well, and this one is equally cute and creative.it's got full instructions for beginners, but they're also fun for experienced crocheters.I've made so many animals for my kid, can't wait to make a few more!

I want to make everything in this book! I've made the polar bear and just started the dog yesterday. I would recommend you have a bit of experience with this style of crochet as the instructions are pretty standard. More pictures and explanation would have been really helpful. I struggled a bit on different parts of the polar bear and also with the dog. Other than that it's a really lovely book and I'm glad I purchased it.

É o meu terceiro da coleção. Os gráficos são lindos e as roupinhas super bem elaboradas. Sou fã da coleção PicaPau. Na minha opinião, são os melhores livros de amigurumi.

This book is just as terrific as volume 1&2 I haven’t made anything yet but plan too very soon,I have made many items from volumes 1&2 and feel confident this will produce the same results,As the author is a fantastic pattern maker.
