I rarely give 5 star reviews! These are perfect for tissue culture! They will not hold larger plants but are absolutely perfect for starters. My shrimp immediately congregated around them. I used an empty one for a shrimp hideout!

These are NOT for plopping in a plant from one of those little black plastic baskets. These are small and meant for attaching small clippings. You can glue probably up to 3 or 4 stems in or around the outside of these rings if you have plants that don’t need to be planted in substrate. I also like to turn them on their side and glue my anubias to it. It allows me to sink it into my gravel while leaving the anubias roots above the substrate the way they prefer. If you grow or propagate aquatic plants at all, these are great to have on hand.

I thought I’d like these but the holes are small. Even smaller plants can’t grow over the long term. The quality and functionality are fine but again beware of the size of plants your putting in there.

Stem plants can come out if you have a snail or fish big enough to push things around.

I bought these to stabilize the light weight plants in my tank. If your roots are small enough you can stick them through the hole. I did this with nw plants and it fit fine. Then they do not float away and become dislodged.
