MEMORIES BRING BACK FUN MOMENTS
REMINISCE is a wonderful magazine. I re-live my childhood and chuckle at some of the stories. I enjoy passing these on to shut-ins, friends and I also leave them in the doctors office when I have my appointments. I was delighted to see that the senior center has them for reading as well. With all our life's changes from Model T Fords to computers, we need a magazine like this. Its enjoyable reading. REMINISCE has you stopping the merry-go-round of our lives, and take time to relax, laugh, enjoy and stories about men and women in the armed forces. Our prayers and respect to this day go out to the folks in the Armed Forces and their families. This magazine gives young people an insight that way back then, when things were tough, we all survived by doing whatever had to be done.A young friend asked me what a party-line was when talking about phones. I was able to explain what it was. He being in his early 20's, looked it up on his phone. He couldn't fathom how we could talk to one another.Thank you REMINISCE for giving us memories and stories of how it was. And we all managed to survive because we were all in the same boat. Just trying to make a living and keep the roof over our heads for our families.PLEASANT, STRESS-FREE READING THAT IS ENJOYABLE.PEACE TO ALLMargaret Bell-Berman

Memories
When I was younger, I really did not appreciate this magazine. I do not think that a lot of younger folks enjoy reminiscing about the past since you are trying to create your own past as well as future. Now that I am older, I enjoy looking at the memories of others as they are very similar to my own or to the days of my parents which they shared with me while they were alive. I appreciate the look back as I can relate to a lot of the nostalgic situations and products of the years of a bygone era. I recently heard on the Hallmark TV station a saying that really resonated with me which seems so perfectly fitted to this magazine and that is memories are a gift to be savored as one can look back and relive that life and times of those that one loves (it might not have been these exact words but it was the exact sentiment). I agree and therefore, yes, I enjoy this magazine very much and glad that I subscribed.

Human Interest Stories
Hello. This is actually for my review on the previous issue, and my first. I enjoyed reading the story about the couple that got married because the soldier got home before his Dear John letter. I also enjoyed reading the story about the brother and sister and sharing their bike. Todays families would not think twice about this and would have had a different ending. I like the morals and values of the old days. I don't care for the contemporary add so much.... Only read the one issues so far. Gary Willens/Los Angeles

I wonder if I'm One of Their Younger Subscribers?
I mean, I'm not a baby by any means, but I'm in my late thirties. It's an "old soul" magazine, and I've always had one. It has really cool stories that people relate regarding to their families and growing up. The feature about a different celebrity each issue is pretty fun, as is the section where they choose a year and showcase different words or phrases that originated in that year. I've always been a sucker for old photos- even if they're people I don't even know, so that's another perk of this magazine. It's fun to read and it is definitely aptly named!

I found quite a few things in them that were nostalgia inspiring
While I was at the far end of the age bracket this is aimed at, I still found quite a bit of details that were part of my early childhood. And it gave me a better appreciation for the period before I was born as well.

If you're looking for the perfect gift for the senior who has everything-- this is it.
This whole magazine is written by and pictures submitted by readers. Very little advertisement. It's like looking through your old photo album with stories attached. It was kind of a joke (I'm 68 now) but through out my life I could never buy her a gift she liked until I ran into this magazine. The price is right too. It's geared towards pretty much any decade of people who would still be around this planet. From the late 1920's through probably the 1970's maybe the 80's but sticks alot through the 30's 40's 50's 60's are the main groups. They pick topics that we all lived through too and dedicate a magazine towards it. Good reicpes and news for us ""oldsters" too. Just a bunch of fun reading... Another one is called "closer". I worked in a grocery store and used to steer people looking for a gift for Mom towards both of those magazines. I became "the chosen one" in my mothers eyes for once LOL

Nice to remember certain things
Not what I expected. It is really a magazine which has stories of people remembering certain thngs as they were growing up...like being a newspaper boy, going to a carnival, going to newly opened theme parks, etc. It is worth getting a subscription once, but you may be inclined not to renew it. It is shallow but still enjoyable.
