Basically the headline says it all. I buy so many of these things for a very special reason: To help a brain damaged person recover. Visual light stimulation is a proven method of getting the brain to 'wake up'. So, I have a lot of these types of devices. That said, I have some that are as loud as vacuum cleaners, I have some or many that have sort of crummy visualizations, but this one... this one... looks like the Aurora Borealis is in my living room. The actual rendering field is quite small, it doesn't fill the room, but the visuals are absolutely stunning. And it's quiet. So you can play quiet mood music without hearing a fan drone on. This is perfectly priced, it is worth every penny, and has been a tremendous asset toward adding a dimension of beauty and healing to our lives. You will not find a better value than this. 6. 7. 10 stars. Absolutely. If you don't know about these devices... from any manufacturer, get to know them. But this is definitely one of the best. That is all I have to say.

The effect is produced by a red-green laser light with a pattern that is about the same brightness as other RG projectors that are half the cost. The promo pictures must be highly-saturated and over-exposed because it does not appear that way to the eye. There is a multi-colored back light, but that seems unnecessary since I did not buy it for that feature. I have other lights that add background colors, and I do not like how the back light has lines through it. The remote is good for controlling adjustments. It might have been better if it had a blue component of the aurora effect instead.

Very cool effects. I have bought other lazer light displays before and was always disappointed with the cheesy patters such as flowers they choose to use, but this has much more serene and uncontrived pattern reminiscent of the Northern lights of the aurora borealis. With this being said, my personal use for these laser light displays is typically to enhance or coincide with music. Where as the ones I’ve bought previously with cheesy graphics like hearts and flowers actually appeared to move to the beat of music, this music synching feature just goes on and off to music more like someone is standing by the light switch turning it off and on like a Strobe light to the beat of the music. Not the actual laser motion moving to the music that I had hoped for. In addition, to the mic sensitivity was poor even turned up to the highest level and as a result caused the flashing affect to be off beat. In its defense however, from the tiny Amount i know about laser light displays, laser motion movement to music is a sophisticated feature and was not realistically expecting it to be available at this price point.

Bright, vivid colors, remote works well, laser and very colorful led lights work. LED background light is very bright with many different color choices. I can't say enough about this little light. Buy it, you wont be disapointed. My only regret is that it doesn't come with a "U" shaped bracket for my light truss. Not enough to deduct a star. Deffinately a 5 star light.

I love this thing for the most part. It really makes my living room pop when I'm hanging with friends over. I only wish the water setting could go one tick slower. Sometimes the fast water movement can make me a little motion sick.
