USS South Dakota
My Grandfather was aboard the USS S Dakota in WWII. He told us that the crew scrubbed the decks to be selected as the ship for the Japanese to surrender to, but the Navy chose the Missouri. My Grandfather witnessed the surrender. I’m very proud of that. I bought this to compliment his flag and service displays on my Grandmother’s mantle.

These models are a nice thing to put on an accent table or behind your desk

Pretty nice!
So far these have really made my son happy. He’s been playing with them even though they are just models. They are pretty delicate, but have some weight to them. One did arrive with the flag already broken off. And a flag broke off another.
