Cuts Like Butter!
Perfect for cutting my ribbons. It seals the ends from fraying. Very HOT. Watch you fingers and go slow. NOT for kids. Don't worry about the noise, its just the wire arching with heat. It did shut off mid way, but I had done a lot of cutting. I let it rest and unplugged it for a minute to cool off. All ok.I will suggest wearing a mask and goggles. The ribbon cut has smoke (not fire) but just residual from the cut. Don't breathe in those chemicals coming off your ribbon! Happy with this little machine.

Nunca doy reseña de lo que compro en Amazon pero esta vez lo are en la fotografía dice que viene 3 rollos de alambre y a mi solo me llegó uno y nada que ver con el color que viene ahi, no se me ocurrió leer la reseña antes que tenía este producto espero si pueda usarlo más de una ves..

Does the job for small stuff!
Most of these kind of devices are pretty expensive, this one is certainly not.It easily melts through 1/4" paracord at about 1/6th power. If you go much higher the wire starts to warp and will break at about 50% power, so make sure you do not have the power turned up when you first start it.You can also buy larger gauge wire and use it on a higher power setting for larger rope/cord/ribbon.Comes with extra wire and is easy to change out.

Makes noise when turned on
The media could not be loaded. The machine worked the first time, the second time it turned on but it makes noise, I am afraid to use it and something bad will happen. I don't like to return things, but this time I think I will if the inconvenience continues. I clarify that I just bought it and on the same night that happened to me, I turned it off and after two hours I turned it on and it started with the noise.
