Surprisingly durable
The media could not be loaded. *** UPDATE/EDIT: I bought this thing back in February 2024 and ten months later with nearly DAILY USE this bad boy is still going strong!! You can see in my video, filmed just now, that it's still in one piece and that despite the frequent play, she still LOVES it. It smells like rubber, which doesn't smell like roses to me... but all rubber toys are going to, and that's ok. I'm just so impressed with the durability. Really, really impressed.Between interest, durability and value, I say if you are looking for this kind of toy you should get it if your dog is an appropriate size. Ten months of daily, hard use of throwing, fetch, chewing, travel, overnights in the elements, you name it. There's no reason not to. It's the perfect chew toy IMHO. ***ORIGINAL REVIEW SEPTEMBER 2024: My Goldendoodle is great about destroying every chew toy I give her. She doesn't ruin shoes, she doesn't counter surf (ok she does, she just doesn't take anything) and she has learned to leave the scrunchies and socks where she finds them. Even the remote is safe. (She'll hide it, but it's not destroyed.) So the chew toys get completely mangled because they get her full attention. This toy? It has survived the worst of her chewing attention. Being a cardiac service dog, she goes everywhere with me, including trips, and this toy always gets packed. It's great to throw because it has a "handle" and chucks really well. She carries it easily, like a pacifier lol. And it somehow has survived. It's a bit of a challenge to get treats inside, so if your goal is to stuff it frequently, this might not be the right toy. But it's possible. As for durability, this has been in the top two or three for my girl. Worth the money. Keeps her entertained, which is important, lol...

Great durable toy, has lasted me years.
I bought this October of 2023 and my dog only just now managed to break it. It's currently July 2025. He's an American bully, very aggressive chewer. He's so tough on toys but this one has lasted me years. It can still be used, it will just be harder to hide treats in it. He ripped the top off/made the top hole of the mushroom bigger. He's 2 years old and this toy survived his shark teeth puppy phase.I do recommend this toy, it's great mental stimulation and cleans their teeth. Very durable! Worth it for the price.

Well made, not easy to destroy.
Very solid toy, you csn stuff it with you pet's favourites for hours of enrichment. I would buy it again.

Great toy just don’t let it get chewed into pieces.
This is bear’s (Rottweiler) favorite toy!!! It’s the only one that lasts him for months. It’s scented is very long lasting. That being said please keep an eye on how chewed up it is getting. I did allow one to get chewed up too much and bear left pieces lying around. My small dog Charlie found a piece and ate it. He ended up needing exploratory surgery as this toy will not show up on x-rays. I do still get these for Baer. I just watch them much closer.

Durable and adds challenge
This one is good although suitable for puppy food, it’s very easy for my 4 month old corgi to get food out of. But if you put bigger treats you can since the opening is flexible. I put food in it to slow down feeding and add bigger treats to keep puppy occupied and can’t take it out unless I do it myself since it’s a hard rubber.

Will not survive an "extreme" chewer
These types of toys sometimes carry ratings for how much use/abuse they can survive. Our dog LOVES her mushroom, it entertains her, the smell is not an issue, the stability is part of the entertainment as she can roll it around to try and get the treats to fall out. It's pretty easy to get treats into the cap portion, but getting some treats down into the stem can be challenging. We have a 40# border collie, aussie Shepard mix, and she cracked the rubber on the cap on about 3 months. She loves it so much we bought a second one!

Best dog toy ever!
I buy these mushrooms for every dog I know and it’s always their favorite thing! My dog picks it up and throws it at me when he wants one. He even goes and gets it when I say mushroom! So easy to clean; just put it in the top shelf of your dishwasher. Highly recommend!
