I am extremely pleased with this knife in every respect and it has become my go-to and EDC tool. The overall length is about nine inches including a four and one quarter inch drop-point blade. The solid tang blade is almost 6mm at its widest point, making it very strong but not heavy. Holding it, you can tell it has significant weight and mass, but it's so well balanced and trim that it really feels light and is very fast to maneuver. The rubberized scales feel great; they provide a secure grip under a wide variety of conditions and can be user-removed in case you want to wrap the blade with paracord, which is included with the knife. Atop the blade in front of the scales, there is a good inch of pronounced gimping that makes this knife feel even better. The blade is made from 154CM stainless steel, which is a very good metal. It holds an edge well and is fairly easy to sharpen. The knife came razor sharp right out of the box, and the tip is reinforced by a significant amount of steel. All the lines, angles and grinds are as perfect as one could hope for. The blade and scales have a cutout for one's index finger and it, too, adds to the overall great feeling of the knife. The blade has a Cerekote finish, which aids in corrosion resistance. The butt end of the knife also has some gimping along with a lanyard hole. The sheath is a thing of beauty. It is very well constructed, holds the knife securely, and is trim and compact. It's the nicest kydex style sheath that I have yet to encounter. Four screws attach the belt device to the sheath body, and allows one to use a belt up to 1.5" in width for either vertical or horizontal carry. The loop portion can be removed in case you want to use a Tek-Lok mount instead. I have found this knife to be very comfortable when carried all day. This is truly an awesome all-purpose knife. It looks really good, has a great design, carries well, is extremely well crafted, feels good in the hand, and is made in America by Hogue. Having been there and done that for many years, it takes a lot to impress me - and the HK Fray certainly does. Value is a sum of an item's cost, characteristics and practicality, and this knife has it all. It's well worth the money, and I am 100% pleased. God bless America!

I bought this knife thinking it was a skeleton with paracord wrap. I was happily surprised to realize it comes with a really good locking sheath, rubber composite type scales, and paracord. I am a Hogue enthusiast and am really happy with the purchase.
