Our dog urinated a good amount and this fabric protected my couch 100%. The urine even puddles, not soaks into the cover. Needed to add an extra spin cycle in the wash because there were still some pockets of water dripping. But it was basically a testament to how well this guards against liquid. I have no issues, it’s not uncomfortable to sit on at all. The strap in the back helps to hold it in place. I’ve had others like this that were not waterproof and constantly had to be adjusted when sat on. Very pleased with this purchase. I bought for my couch and my love seat. Both fit right on the money.

I had a cover very similar to this that I liked a lot but it was always falling off the back. When I saw this had a strap I thought that would solve the problem, but the strap is so so stretchy it's basically useless. It will keep the back from completely falling down, but definitely doesnt hold it in place. Also the other one I had had long peices that went over the armrest with pockets, which was nice. These barely cover the armrest so when you sit down they just come up. And the other cover had flaps to tuck into the couch and keep it in place, which this one doesn't have. So over all it was a downgrade. It is waterproof, but that makes it pretty hot.

It's kind of stiff, so you'd want to wash before putting on the couch. It moves easily when my son sits on the couch, so I am always fixing it, but I like that it covers the ugly couch we have.

This is the second cover I have purchased. First one was a different kind worked very well. This one is too stiff and not easy to keep on your couch. Would never buy another one like this.
